Actually, I was pretty disappointed though, the MSU flag corps is about half guys! What's this world coming to? It would have been OK if the guys would have been placed at the north end of the band, rather than in front of us, but no!
I noticed that as well, and was kind of surprised by that. It was just weird seeing guys on the flag corps, nothing wrong with it just surprising because you never see it.

I didn't realize this until reading TV's blog after the game but their dance team was named the Sugar Bears. Very interesting.

Kind of late but I thought this article was worth posting on this thread:

      Freshman QB ready for start
      Terry Vandrovec • October 10, 2009

For the second time in five weeks, 20th-ranked South Dakota State is breaking in a first-time starter at quarterback.

Still, taking the snaps today at Missouri State should be less daunting than what redshirt freshman Thomas O'Brien faced last week - having to enter a game in progress against a top-25 team after a knee injury to senior Ryan Crawford. He finished 13 of 22 for 98 yards with three turnovers in a 21-14 loss at Cal Poly.

Now, the 6-foot-2, 205-pound O'Brien has had a week to work with the No. 1s, and they have had time to get accustomed to his considerable velocity.

He'll be executing a game plan that has been catered to his strengths (right arm) and weaknesses (inexperience).

And although the Bears (3-2, 1-1) are maybe the most improved team in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, they don't have the national status or winning tradition that Cal Poly does.

It's as good a way as any to start a run that could last 4-6 weeks - the length of time that Crawford is expected to miss - or four years.

"Being the guy and having everybody rally around you during practice and in the locker room - that is a big deal," O'Brien said.

The Winona, Minn., native didn't wait for that to happen. Rather, he took charge in the huddle while Crawford was being helped off the field, according to senior receiver Glen Fox.

"He's a confident kid," Fox said.

      ....

He's also attended additional one-on-one meetings with quarterbacks coach Shannon Moore.

"I think he's responded tremendously," Stiegelmeier said. "He doesn't look like, 'Oh, no, I'm the guy now - I have to get ready.' It's like, 'Great, this is what I've dreamed about.' He's into everything beyond what he's been."
      .....

"It's the chance I've waited for and have worked so hard for," O'Brien said. "I don't feel like I'll be nervous or anything like that."

Watching KSPR in Springfield, they went with the old Bugs Bunny logo. Interesting since we haven't used that logo in years.

Thanks MSU Bear. I like the action photos and particularily the one that shows the your offensive line maintaining the pocket for your QB. Listening on the radio, you wondered why he always had plenty of time to throw. Your photo kind of tells me why.

Glad someone else brought it up about pass coverage. While i was listening on the radio, the announcer mentioned numerous times that our cb's were getting beat on one & one coverage by thier wr's.Couldn't help but think "why don't they get that guy some help if he's having problem's?"But, because we got a win, didn't want to seem to be portrayed as a "discouraging " voice when we should all be celebrating a victory. But even Stig said there's things that need to be worked on for our next game.Hopefully, maybe the wr from NDSU won't be such a problem as the MSU guy was. Before any one suggest's that I should let the coaches figure it out, I want to point out that it's the radio guy's fault because he's the one that kept mentioning (pointing out) the fact
