While listening to the game on WNAX, I was interrupted and didn't hear what happened on that kick. Did anyone see it? Can you describe what happened? Thanks.
It was just a short kick, pop-up type kick that was angled toward the sidelines. All the Missouri State guys just moved out of the way instead of going for it, which was weird.

      From TV/AL:

"The pooch kick that the Jacks recovered in the second quarter was by design - sort of. Sophomore Kyle Harris asked to try a short kick, but it didn't go as far as he planned and wound up being snatched out of the air by linebacker Dirk Kool."

I think they thought they were on the punt team

Would someone who saw the game maybe answer this one. TOB was 9-12 (with two drops) and 160 yards in the first half and then 5-10 for 50 yards in the second half. Why the big discrepancy?

In the second half he was not really asked to take his shots down the field as in the first half. The 2nd was weird. It felt like Minnett would get in a groove running the ball, and that we were moving the ball, but then we would end up punting. This really doesn't make sense, but looking back this is what I remember.

Missouri State ball control with long time consuming drives.

You're absolutely right JGII...the bend not break philosphy (intended or not) worked against game time for the Jacks on offense.
