The game on Saturday isn't senior day, at least I hope not. I don't want only two home games this year.

Senior day should be the last home game of season. VS SIU Salukis, with a play-off (auto-bid?) on the line. Looks like that Nov. game should be a great game!

Two different senior days being discussed here. Jax is referring to Senior Day as in: high school seniors from around the region being invited to campus and given tickets to the game. Sept. 19 is Senior Day 2009:

Senior Day won't hurt...but the big thing is that it is the Beef Bowl, and you can count on an extra 2,000 more people from the beef industry attending. My guess is we hit 14,200 (Editor's Note: I'm a terrible guesser, however.)

Beef Bowl attendance last year......14,382. Hope we bury that number by a 1000 or so. Another beautiful weekend weather wise.

We will not be competing with fans that wanted to attend the Presidents bowl last weekend in Sioux Falls. I think it was the Presidents Bowl? That will free up several hundred fans.

Who was the idiot that typed frost...wait a second. I just have to say I have only seen a couple of years worth of games in person, I had good seats then though. I think I might have met you EQ. Thats what I get for staying up late and indulging in adult beverages while watching monday night football. Do we have a forum for stupid mistypes, or typing while indulging? lol

Thinking of making a brisket on the holland grill for the Beef Bowl... that means I will need to be out there early (need about 3 hours to cook).

I have never made a brisket before but it sure sounds good. I need to start getting stuff ready tonight (need to clean the grill, get some wood chips marinating, etc...) gonna make sure I have all the ingredients for the rub tonight...

with all the predictions for a butt whooping, I am going to go with the humble side of things and go with Jacks coming out on top 35-24...

Either way it should be a great day for football... The weather genie is saying 78 and sunny with south winds @ 5-15mph...

I will be hugely dissapointed if this game doesn't at least approach 15,000. The weather looks to be perfect, Beef Bowl, nice publicity from the GSU win. All these things = 15K or bust in my mind.

Well I am going to be attending the game this weekend as a chance to "scout" how the rivals to the south are looking before returning for the NDSU game. After scanning the posts in this thread, I'm starting to expect quite the display from the Jacks. Good luck and don't disappoint!

I'm having a hard time grasping a good attendance figure for the game. All things are in the home team's favor (ie. weather, first game performance, Beef Bowl history), except for the opponent. I would venture to guess right in the area of last year, 14k. SDSU should feel fortunate to have drawn the game against ISU this week. Anything later than October 1 would likely have been an attendance buster, in the negative direction.

Stig would hate this, but looking ahead to the two games in October, look out if the Jacks go 2-1 or 3-0 on the road trip. 16k plus for both would and should be highly likely.

Oh and yes Jacks win 44-6 (again).
