IN TV's Tuesday Tidbits he stated that Zach Bowers also had offers from East Carolina, Central Arkansas, Pittsburgh State, and Missouri Southern.

I don't believe he has used his redshirt yet, so he has 3 years to play 2.

SDSU has interest in DB Kerwin McKay 6'2 190 from Kettle Moraine HS in Wisconsin. McKay totaled 51 tackles, six tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and seven interceptions as a senior.

The veteran of the group is sophomore defensive end Bowers (6' 1", 240, Topeka). Bowers saw significant playing time for the 'Hounds last season accumulating 29 tackles and 4 1/2 sacks. This season in 8 games, Bowers has 33 tackles (9 for lost yardage) and a team leading 6 sacks. "Working hard and playing faster" was Bowers response when asked what he felt was the reason for his improvement during his time at FSCC.

Football newsletter arrived today via email. Stig says we have 2 commits. Anyone know who came on board besides Sumner?

Tv just reported via twitter that it is the Juco DE Zach Bowers of Ft. Scott(KS). 6'0 245 lbs. He will enroll for the spring. This past season he had 45 tackles, 16 tfl, 8 sacks and 2 FF.

From what I am hearing about Robbie Jelsma is that he would verbal to State if they offered a scholarship, though the family has not heard back from the staff. He will probably go to USD if State doesn't offer.

yeah.... first part is true.... second part not so much.... he likes SDSU and will go to SDSU if they offer, he likes USD because they have offered a scholarship and he feels like he would fit in better with their system.... However he REALLY likes SDSU, he was up there for many football games this season, and even if SDSU doesn't offer its not a given that he will go to USD.....

I hope we land him. I like beating USD in things, even if its just for recruits and not in actual games yet.

Even better would be to get him turn down a full ride from the U and walk-on at State ala Will Castle.
