Kyle averaged 4.5 yards per carry. I'm no expert, but if you run it 3 straight times and get 4.5 yards each time I believe that will get you a first down.

I don't care if we beat them 60-0, but if we can sustain 3-4 long drives with almost all runs I would be happy....very happy.

Western Illinois got more than 300 yards rushing on them. I agree that it would be nice to give Duffy and Minett a lot of touches in the second half. Lets run to set up the pass rather than the other way around.

I count 14 rushes and 16 passes in the first half. But most of those runs were in sequences where we just ran. And most of the passes were in sequences when we just ran.

We aren't mixing it up, despite the almost 50:50 ratio.

I wonder how much of it is due to the fact that we just might not be able to run block that well right now? I know how much Coach Meadows likes to run the ball and we obviously have a good running back so it kinda makes me wonder.

Not that we can pass block that well either. 10 sacks speaks for themself

I don't think they're confident in the run game. But they are averaging 4.5 yards per carry. Surely if you give it to Minett enough, he's going to get those 4.5 yards most times and break one for 20+ now and then.
