I like the east side as well. I have 4 season tickets on the west side and let my wife, my kids (when they aren't running around behind the east side bleachers) and our parents sit in those seats. I usually roam the sideline or stand against the fence. I can't sit down, not even for a minute.

If there are any of you that are not using your reserved seats but are planning on being at the game pm me. I am in but would prefer some seats if possible.

          Re: Western Illinois

I just can't wait for this game. I am bringing some folks up from Sioux Falls who haven't been to an SDSU football game before. Can't wait to show them the backyard, barbecue and then get ready for the band to come through and lead everyone into the stadium.

I expect this to be a tough test and a real indicator of how the rest of this season will go. Clearly Youngstown had some issues, but this is truly a strong team that is coming into Brookings to win.

              Re: Western Illinois

At last! On the day of the game, the Macomb newspaper actually writes a story about WIU, the first one this week:

              http://www.macombjournal.com/sports/...tart-MVFC-play

That should remind us of how lucky we are to have Terry V and the Argus covering our team. The Jacks have gotten more coverage this week in the Argus than the Leathernecks will get all season in their hometown paper.

That is so true. I spoke with some USD fans at church last Saturday and one of the things they stated that USD must recognize is that how State handled access for the media must be the same. The Argus coverage has been great, and they (USD fans) knew that TV has remarked on the access he has been given. They are hoping that USD makes the same access possible and that the Argus takes advantage of it. They fear if either part falls down, it will have a big impact on the success of their transition.

Yup, you have to be willing to take the bad with the good. If your program is clean, there'll be a lot more good coverage than bad.

                      Re: Western Illinois

Main newspaper for Leathernecks aint the Macomb Journal, it is the Peoria Journal Star and Quincy Herald Whig.

Journal Star has had stories on the 'Necks for the last month.

Kinda like the Argus Leader based out of Sioux Falls is the main newspaper for the Rabbits.

I'm 50 miles south and its was raining for a good 3 hours this morning. Nothing real heavy just a good drizzle. If its the same in Brookings field will be wet but not too sloppy. Supposed to be a 30% chance of rain for tonight.

And the Burlington Hawkeye with John Bohnnenkamp(sp) does a great job. Really, at this point, what can you cover without being redundant? SDSU is good, WIU is good....Coach P is out etc, etc, etc. The coaches give the same generic replies. We've been in this conference long enough to know that pretty much every conference game is tough and meaningful. The Macomb Journal knows this, too. Actually, I have seen some good articles that never make it online. WGEM.com also does great news/video coverage. So, whoever said that SDSU is lucky to get the coverage they have...thats great but we get all we need and I know more than they do anyway.

Almost game time, silly rabbits. I have read for the last several weeks all of your bravdo and what you say you will do. Bottom line: "We don't take what they give us, we take what we want!" Woof-Woof. 'Necks 42 - Thumpers 10. Have a nice day.
