Re: Opening Game Attendance vs UNI

unfortunately i have to go to omaha for work and cant be there. i think UNI will bring plenty of fans and the fact that the students cant tailgate the whole game, will give us a great attendance. im hoping the students dont try to drive home, instead they go sober up at the game. 15,555

If its warmer then 70 degrees outside and under 85 the attendance will be in the 13-15,000 range.... if its cooler or warmer it will be in the 10,000 range.

I think the fact that UNI just beat ISU will draw a few more fans and the fact that UNI is 6 hours away I wouldn't be surprised if we saw 2-3,000 UNI fans there.

Considering we got more than 12,000 for last year's Beef Bowl on an OK day and playing Central Arkansas, I'm thinking better-than-expected enrollment numbers (a birdy told me), a great opponent, a presidential inauguration, a volleyball match before the game and the new backyard policy should bring in around 15,000.

Heh. Funny you should say that, a couple days ago the wife and I told a buddy of mine we'd go to the Twins game with him and his wife that day, until I realized 10 minutes later what a terrible terrible mistake I had made, I quickly called him back and said sorry, can't miss a Jacks game...

          Disaster averted.

I'm in a quandry. Is oldest son's wedding a good enough excuse to miss the game?

What were you thinking scheduling a wedding on 1st home game of the season. Have you seen that commercial for the "Fantasy Football Draft" and it some guys wedding?

LOL. Yep, oldest son, first wedding...we're pretty excited about it. Last year, I didn't miss a home game and went to the NDSU game in Fargo. This year, I'm having trouble getting to a game, at least the first part of the season. I have a son running for the Jackrabbits and the cross country schedule doesn't match the football schedule very well (e.g. running a huge meet at U of MN on Hobo Day!).

Haven't seen the commercial...will have to look for it. Hey, maybe it's a a setup deal: I wasn't consulted; and, my son and his fiance are USD grads! (Two other sons are Jackrabbits.)

But, WNAX comes in loud and clear so I'll be listening to the Jackrabbits beat the Panthers 21-7 while those USD people are doing that chicken dance.

                        JackJD,

I feel your pain. Got a wedding in SF Saturday & Wisconsin on HoboDays. It will be interesting to see if the minivan really can go as fast as the spedometer reads.

                          M11jacks:

I know from driving back from cross country meets in Lacrosse that you can pick up WNAX on I-90 near the Rochester, MN turnoff. So, enjoy the Wisconsin wedding and drive like a madman for a couple hours and then settle in and listen to Imming describe the Jackrabbit win.

Oh, yeah, to keep this post on topic, my prediction for attendance for the UNI tilt: 14,039.5. The 0.5 accounts for one pregnant gal who goes into labor after the Jackrabbits score their third touchdown with 1:25 remaining in the third quarter. She refuses to leave so we give her extra credit of 0.5.

UWMandSDSU: thanks for the link to the great Fantasy Football / Wedding day commercial on youtube. I laughed out loud and made my wife watch it...she's more serious these days.

what are rep points? I feel like the guy at the table who's laughing along with the inside joke even though he has no idea what anyone is talking about.
