If he takes other coaches probably for them equal size in pay increases for them. fCS is not only farm system for p 4&5 schools for players but also feeder system on up and coming coaches. I can’t blame coaches or players for leaving because of money that is being offered is life changing.
An interesting counter to that, including a comparison to other Pac coaches is offered here. The argument could be made that the Pac is a farm system too, but the question is will Rogers betting the farm on this likely interim gig pay off if the new WSU Admin. opts to stifle investment in football/athletics.

Would Roehl do it to mother-f+++ NDSU for getting passed over even if it's for the hated Jackrabbits? His ISU salary is $350k.

I would hope we could get close to Lujan's reported salary at NW. 400k in Brookings might be about equivalent to 500k in Evanston. Would he come back? Is it possible he feels passed over? He could hopefully keep the returning offense intact.

Bobbit is young but he coaches the strength of this team and could hopefully keep the best part of this team together.

I'm not excited by the DII guys or Riggs. Bergstrom isn't setting the world on fire in the NSIC. The Augie guy - maybe but no FCS experience and not an SDSU guy. Riggs. Has he coached 11 man football in the last decade?

Dan Jackson has been bandied about but he was demoted at Vanderbilt. Some controversy there. And Idaho's defense wasn't great this year.
Riggs intrigues me due to the regional connections he has. He also has considerable media connections, which I suppose could be seen as detrimental.

I'm surprised how much traction Roehl is getting. I understand the argument about Riggs' lack of recent 11-man coaching experience, but were the Roehl proponents that impressed with his playcalling when he was with Bison (or is the rationale that the issues on offense were due to Entz overruling Roehl)?

Yes, they can be "affiliated" with the university, but, for instance, SDSU staff couldn't donate or work for the collective, which would seemingly end McKnight's position in Economics Dept.

Can't see a reason for Eck to "leave" his new gig already
