Wilde in the portal with a do not contact tag, which means he knows where he’s going. Not good, folks.

Oof! That sounds awful. I hope he heals up and lives a pain free life. I loved watching him play, but its football. If he wants to keep playing, more power to him. If not, I wish him the best.

He broke his broke c7 vertebrae during NDSU game and is now wearing a neck brace. He was granted an extra year because of a '22 acl injury and will now "... wait and see how everything goes later on to decide if he wants to play another year." Additionally, regarding his recovery, “I’ll have six weeks and then I’ll get re-evaluated by a neurosurgeon, and then we’ll go from there.”

He will be a huge loss if he isn't coming back.

I would expect to find somebody that is a decent backup or can contribute on special teams. A player that is a diamond in the rough and because they were an unheralded walk on, they never got their fair chance even though they showed up everyday and worked hard (or harder than big name NIL guys). A player that is a late bloomer and will develop into something in a few years.
It'll be curious to see what the new roster and scholarship limits will do to FBS programs. Our top talent seems to be guys who get a handful of G5 scholarship offers, maybe a late offer from a lower rung P4, and PWO offers from their home state school. I think a lot of these guys could probably could have a PWO offer from other P4 programs, too. Will these players now get scholarship offers? Or will the 20 new scholarships be reserved for portal players who've proven themselves elsewhere, rather than stretch high school players? I assume that the emphasis is going to be more towards the latter than the former.
And how many more scholarship spots will this open up at the FBS level? The assumption has to be that all P4 programs will offer a full 105 scholarships. Will Sun Belt and C-USA do likewise? This might cost any given program $1,000,000 per year or more. It's no sure bet that many G5 schools actually offer a full 105 scholarships.

The offensive coordination could be a lot better next year. And a few difference makers on that side of the ball. Basically the things that held them back this year.
Just to echo what everybody else perceives....
