Can't wait until the kitties destroy your defense, Tommy will school Miller like no other. Fun to watch you get beat to oblivion.

If Davis was going to come back and Rogers didn't allow it. Then Rogers cost us a national title. What a complete waste of a team.
I’d say just make Freund the sole OC. UND wasn’t tremendous offensively but they were solid and they seemed sad to lose him. Olson is way out of his depth as OC.

I have a feeling Davis would have come back if he’d been offered, just from what I’ve heard. He left because he thought Lujan would be around longer and Davis wanted to move up the ladder but wouldn’t be able. Don’t think anyone could’ve guessed what would happen at Northwestern that opened the door for Lujan there.

Clearly the better team today, held back by a horrible play calling day by a bad play caller.
I would bet a considerable amount of money that he was never approached. I didn't like some of our play calls, but after watching the Yotes game, I didn't think that Davis was an offensive genius either. And we'll have to see how he does next season with no Bouman, Theis, Bell, Galbreath and a lot of the o - line.

          • Tough loss today for the Jacks. It was a heck of a run. You can’t lose the TO battle, penalty yardage a d the explosive play discrepancy and expect to win a game like that on the road. The so feel the jacks were outplayed both games against them this year. The fumble was a killer and not getting FG after it was just as big. I was very suprised that we could not generate any pressure on Cam. Our defense has to make them kick a FG or two.

I did not like the fact that they called the Bok penalty but didn’t called the sideline against on Amar. I personally don’t think either of them are penalties but you should either call them both or don’t call either.
The catch? I’m Not sure I guess, I’m not a ref and would like to hear a ref explain it or see if in the rule book, You have it with one hand and bring it to the other…is that so can you control it but that’s obviously a very normal thing to do so you wouldn’t just keep one hand on it either? It was a heck of a play either way and it’s a tough call either way.

I think our play calling was suspect in most of our big games this year. We need to be bettter the between our OC’s. The first drive was a pathetic considering those are your scripted plays.

Who cares that Cam hates SDSU, we all hate them too. What both teams and fans hate is the other’s success. SDSU hadn’t lost to NDSU in like 5 years or something like that. We won back to back championships while he sat at home or went to the locker room a loser. When people hate you, it’s deep down a good thing. It’s a great rivalry. I absolutely hate NDSU. But deep down I respect them as a program. They’ve done it the right way, they’ve done it with multiple strings or players and coaches.
We used their program as a measuring stick. We caught them, we passed them and now they hit us back in the mouth.
Will be a log of new faces next year, but I expect the Jacks to be right back in the mix. Let’s get w couple portal guys, get some off season development and bring in the next group of stars. It’s what great teams and programs do and we should be no different.
Go Jacks! I’ll be rooting hard for the Bobcats in the Natty!

Were you seeing this? The USD board hasn’t said anything, though they are worried about the portal picking them apart.

The positive for next year is I think SDSU has the strongest returning team. Bison will have a tough time replacing Miller, USD loses a bunch of starters and could lose more, and Montana State loses a bunch and could lose their coach. Feel like we have a leg up as of now.

              • No, I haven't seen this, thus my question.
I do think I heard he walked on senior day, but that doesn't mean a lot these days i suppose.
don't know his status, but it will make a difference if he covers back, since Jacks play in verm next year

He walked on their Senior Day. Apparently the TV announcers said at the end of the game that he was coming back, but Jay Elsen tweeted that it wasn't happening. And he would know.

                    • We can keep co-oc’s but Olson needs to focus on the line and be on the field. Fruend can be in the booth calling plays.

Olson has no sense of rhythm. He put Mark is bad spots all year. Time and time Mark would make a great throw, just to have Olson bring Chase in on the next play for a 2 yard run. Tough to get in a rhythm as a QB with that sort of playcalling.

The best thing about Chase likely starting next season is that we will no longer have to see that package.

                            You stole my tweet. Lol.

Olson just didn't get anybody going, choppy all the time. No sense of how to set things up like Landry did today.

Who knows if the USD gig was framed as an opportunity that could garner consideration for him as head coach, which wouldn't have been an option at SDSU

I doubt he was approached from what I've heard but that doesn't mean he didn't want the job. When he went toJSD, Jimmy allegedly said he wouldn't take him back.
