Olson has no sense of rhythm. He put Mark is bad spots all year. Time and time Mark would make a great throw, just to have Olson bring Chase in on the next play for a 2 yard run. Tough to get in a rhythm as a QB with that sort of playcalling.
This. Olson is a great line coach but the play calling was predictable and unimaginative. And the line play seemed to suffer. Run blocking was pretty good (not today). But pass blocking was suspect all year. Let Olson run the line and let someone else call plays.

    • The issue with the play calling reminded me years ago. The same plays, nothing new. To beat ndsu or win it all you have to have something new. A wrinkle or new look. I thought that was the plan for Chase but they kept him with the ball. A jump pass ornplay action or something. But no. He he had the ball the defense knew he was keeping it. After a while they figure that out.

This game, and this season seemed like fumbles were just worse then normal. Like RBs and both QBs. With out looking at stats just seems like that had to be the most we have had in years. Just seems like with Zenner ans Strong and Davis we rarely had fumbles. This year it was like a theme sadly.

Well we had a fun run. Go cats. Ugh.

time to regroup for next year and enjoy the basketball season for awhile.

They had Lujan when Davis left, and it's been publicly reported that Stig encouraged Davis to take the USD gig, so your source is maintaining that a lateral move (in terms of pay and job title, not necessarily playoff prospects) was proposed to allow Davis to return basically one year after he left the Jacks?

        • Excellent article by Zim focusing on gratitude for Gronowski.

I'm definitely grateful he and the Jacks' path crossed and he returned this season.

          • I'll try to avoid too much of a rant, but I hope Jacks can avoid trying to slay the "playoff win in Fargo" dragon and focus on getting homefield in playoffs into perpetuity.

Seems like there's always at least 1-2 plays during games in that northern hellscape that involve minimal camera angles, obscured views, etc.

Let's start working to ensure 10/25 is as Bison fan free as we can make it next season, and as goon said, Go 'cats
