Thanks for posting this. Right now I like where State is in this ranking and Massey.

If the team takes care of business they are sitting well with 3 seed at a minimum, on opposite side of the bracket from NDSU ( expecting NDSU to also take care of business). That also puts SDSU on the same side of the bracket as MSU. MSU is a run first team with the QB in planned rushes. Against the SDSU defense they play into the team's strength. If MSU doesn't take care of business State is 2 seed with home games for the playoffs and no matchup with NDSU until Frisco. Now if USD trips up NDSU ... .

If this involves a loss to UCD, it's likely UCD becomes the 2nd seed, unless Davis loses to Sac State

Perhaps not. State has a better strength of schedule, better win margins over inferior opponents, one more win over then ranked opponents and a higher power ratings. UCD will have one more win against FCS teams as State played Augie. I think though the other factors will make up for that with the committee, unless UCD wins BIG vs MSU. I could be wrong, just what I think.

And actually, USD may have a better chance of beating NDSU than UCD has of beating MSU. Wouldn't that shake things up?

          filbert, need an official ruling:
Am I risking a ban if I favor one team over the other in the USD v. UND game? [Go Hawks! Go Yotes?] ...My guess: nah,
How about the USD hosting NDSU game? [Go Yotes! Go Bison?]

Guess we'll see. I think the committee would like to see change at the top, and I'll be rooting for Bears and UCD this week and 'Yotes, Grizz, and Sac State next week.

It would be a seismic shift if all of those come through! Put $20 on that as a parley. A win would put you in SDSU ice cream for a long, long time.

Butler at 23 in the Coaches poll? Snicker.

With the exception of likely Vandals trip to Brookings, I'm not a fan of Sam Herder's most recent bracket.

Not surprisingly, Butler's absent from that, but I also don't see 'cats losing to underdog to ensure Jacks would get another home game

I don't see SD-U beating NDSU either. I have no expectations of a semi-final home game this year. Then again, should the mangy ones pull off an upset ...

I do expect SDSU will beat MSU in a semi-final in Bozeman. IMHO, Frisco will be an XDSU party in January.
