    UIW 66
    Sac St 63

someone can check the TOP for sure, but i think UIW had the ball for less than six and a half minutes in the second half and scored 38 points (they did return a fumble for a TD so i guess the offense had 31 points)

at the same time i believe Sac St was on the verge of 750 yards of offense.

i seriously think the bison could put up WELL OVER 500 rushing yards next week and they would have done the same thing to Sac St

that said, they have beaten literally NOBODY on the road. EVERY quality fcs team they played came to Bozeman. also they did NOT play Idaho or Sac St. will this matter? who knows but there has to be some comfort when you go on the road in knowing that you are the clear-cut favorite. that WILL NOT be the case next week

as far as the other game, i think UIW looks pretty tough. but i still think NDSU beats anyone on that side of the bracket far more often than not. but, if i understood correctly in the little bit of the bison game i watched, it sounds like the bison could be without both Leupke and Williams next week?? that helps the opponent at least a bit, whoever they are. could that be right?
Luepke is done for the season, and it sounds like Williams', Waege's, and Nelson's statuses could be in doubt.

WOW that really sucks for the bison. they have definitely had injuries before and i imagine their fans could give me a list! but i dont recall them being without key players at this time of the season. or should i say being without irreplaceable players

with their O Line i dont think it matters who they give the ball to against UIW. i ALWAYS think there is some chance i am wrong, but i think they are gonna run for miles against the cardinals, but luepke, Williams, and Waege, WOW. that is 3 of probably their top 4 to 6 best players and very arguably their best offensive and best defensive player.

They were already down Mostaert & Weerts.

In terms of general playoff scheduling, I wonder if Jacks having sole/early game today will expedite announcement of next week's semifinal schedule, although Zim has gone on record thinking Bison will have Fri. night game.

Other than the Jacks, maybe the best way for another team to beat the Bison is to have a really good QB and get in a shoot-out with them. IW has the QB, and it looks like the Bison may be missing key pieces on both sides of the ball. So hopefully, track meet here we come !

I have mixed emotions about preferred victor in that game.

Regardless, I think either team would bring a sizable contingent of fans to Frisco, so if Jacks advance to championship, hopefully folks who aren't necessarily attending games in Brookings are saving money for trek to Frisco.

I had heard last week already Montana St was organizing charter flights for fans to get to Brookings next weekend. We are going to need a lot of Jackrabbit fans to show up!!!

On somewhat of a related note… Sacramento state coach Troy Taylor has accepted the coaching vacancy at Stanford. He had said just this week he was happy at Sacramento state and wasn’t planning on going anywhere… But today he accepted the job after losing to UIW! somewhat of a related note… Sacramento state Troy Taylor has excepted the job for the Stanford coaching vacancy.

May Skattebo follow him there as well.

My phone went a little crazy but yes I wonder who’s going to follow him there as far as players and his assistant coaches! He’s been a hell of a coach wherever he went and was a fantastic quarterback at Cal. Sacramento state hasn’t had a good program for decades until the last 3 years with Taylor as coach. Unless they can come up with coaches like the last three years… We won’t have to worry about Sacramento state for a while. We will see what happens

Bison squeak out a win with major help from +4 turnover margin, despite only gaining 5 total receiving yards on 1-12 passing, and losing the total yardage game 530-334. Wow. Just wow. Bison playoff magic continues, and the dynasty continues for now....

Discussion point - the NDSU fumble in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter, how can the ref crew confirm that was recovered by the offense in like, 17 seconds? I get it, after maybe a 2 minute review and saying the call stands... but CONFIRMED?! I don't know about that one....

Whomever wins tomorrow will win in Frisco. NDSU does not have it this year.

Will never understand why teams go for 2 point conversions so early and then spend the rest of the game chasing the points they missed out on.
