Too many things give me bad thoughts towards this game.
    1. The Bison haven't been playing well. At least not to their potential.
    2. The Jackrabbits just dominated our Southern rivals.
    3. The general consensus that SDSU is just better than NDSU this year.
    4. The game is in Fargo.

    I think that:
    A. They will have something to prove
    B. SDSU may come in a bit satisfied
    C. The No ONE BELIEVES IN US factor is definitely in play.
    D. Their crowd is going to be absolutely a factor.

Add all that up, and I don't like how this looks.
Thankfully, I am just a fan, and not a coach or a player, or a representative of the team in any way, shape, or form.

But I'm not expecting any sort of 10+ point, dominating win. It's going to be tough. Really tough.

I expect our defense to do its thing. Leupke will get yards, their QB will complete a few passes at key times and make some critical runs which will have me swearing at the TV, but it won't be enough. At the end of the day our o-line will dominate and we will have 250 yards rushing between Davis, Gronowski, and Johnson. I am hoping the passing game makes some strides, but we are or should be a run first team. I think we will win, but it won't be a blow out. Maybe 24-11.

        Hello Bunny friends!

Time for my once a year check in with the board. Honestly, I think the rabbits win this one going away unless NDSU can get the passing game rolling again. Miller is playing solid football right now; you will need your line to get pressure as he is doing a good job finding the open man. Only hope for NDSU is to put up a good offensive day, but I don't see that happening against this defense.

Problem is NDSU is soft up the middle on defense. You offense should move and score at will if they play solid. Don't get cute and start chucking the ball; that is the only thing NDSU is good at defending. If you can get SDSU as a dog at a book, take them; I think it is easy money.

The Bison are always "offensive" to me

Hope you're right about the ungulate softness.

OF COURSE i want to have Tucker back!!! i imagine we all do!!!

but i HOPE and TRUST that he and the coaches and medical people will not let him come back until he is ready

yes this is a big game and it sucks losing to them and beating them and winning in general is ALWAYS a lot more fun)))!!

BUT TRULY we are far past the point where winning this game is the thing that has the most weight on whether or not we had a good season
do you think the bison season last year was ruined by the fact they lost to us? i think if you told them they would lose to us every year but also be natl. champs they would sign up for that

YES I WANT HIM BACK YESTERDAY if not sooner!!! but only if he is ready to make a difference for the rest of the year

what we need most is having him 100% for the playoffs
we have a great shot to be a top 4 and maybe even top 2 seed, even if we lose on saturday
just make sure that barring any new injuries that we will have him for the games that matter most

Nah, he can rest up another week....he won't be neccessary this week. You are correct we need him for post-season

Coach Stig said today (Thursday) on the Calling All Sports radio show that Tucker Kraft would be a game-time decision this week for the NDSU game. Kraft was still in a boot for the USD game, and rehab has been ongoing this week. I'm guessing he won't return for another week, at least, which would make him possibly available for the UND game in Grand Forks.

as i said, i DEFINITELY want him back as soon as possible

and a HUGE reason that i want him back is FOR HIM
it really sucks for these kids!! they work their butts off!! they work so hard to be great athletes and at least good students as well (and many at sdsu are great students too AND many of them do a LOT in the community as well!! and actually Stig requires all of them to do at least a little community work and some do a lot more than a little)

and it sucks for them to do all the work they do and then have to stand on the side and watch!!!

so truly!!!! I HOPE HE CAN COME BACK as soon as possible!!!!

but from a team perspective this then DOES require another change

do they go back to the playbook they had at the beginning of the year and run plays that they have not really been able to run (so probably do not practice them as much) for the last many weeks???

or do they keep doing what they have been doing and just trust his naturally studliness to make a difference, even if they are not VERY intentionally trying to make him a focal point

HOPEFULLY he WILL be back and totally ready in time to get all of those changes made and smoothed out for the playoffs

On one side, yes we need Tucker healthy for playoffs. On another note, this game could very well be for the number 1 seed and home field advantage, which we have learned is huge. I don’t think he will play but NDSU will have to be prepared either way!

I dont think anyone was questioning that you want Tucker Kraft back. You don't have to yell about it
I think it's the greatest trolling in the history of the Marker if you ask me.....

The Jacks are going to play their best game of the year so far in Fargo! Gronowski has been waiting for this big stage! They are trending the right way, getting healthier, and they aren't afraid to play the prairie bovine.

The Jacks have to be average at special teams this weekend to get it done. Please Baby Jesus let us make our kicks!

                          Jacks 27
                          Bison 17

And it won't be that close!
