SIU, UNI, NDSU and UND at home and that final road trip to USD. We sure have some work to do to stay in the conversation for a top-4 seed, especially when you consider the odds that SHSU and JMU will plow through the rest of their relatively easy schedules. There’s almost no room for error.

Im no medical professional but I think these injuries are just abnormal, not a result of playing in the spring. Thankful for all the depth we have.

Moving on now…we’ve seemed to see a few chinks in the armor. Fortunately or unfortunately(depending on how you view it) it isn’t a talent issue, I believe. I think our biggest weaknesses are wearing headsets.
The crap playcalling on offense after we were dominating them is inexcusable. They had no answer to stop Kraft(or Heins for that matter) and that horse should’ve been ridden until they sucked up to stop it. Then you take the top off it with the Janke’s. I’m no expert, I’ll freely admit that but I’ve seen Eck run plenty of plays into the ground even when they weren’t working just to see them fail again and again. The score should’ve been at worst 31-14 at half. The redzone fumble seemed to derail the offense.
With our DBs, seems to me a coaching point would be to turn and look for the ball at some point. Coaching I would think is the solution.
Stupid penalties, especially the unsportsmanlike/taunting, sideline warning stuff. Coaching should have that handled immediately. Too many of these as of late.
Then for Stig to admit mismanaging calling a TO on the blocked FG, c’mon! There were a dozen of us fans crying for them to take a TO from the stands. You could see it was like the keystone cops to begin with.
All that and we still had a chance to win(should’ve dominated) a game against a fellow top 10 team. Plus missing an AA CB, a top FCS RB, an AA LB, 2nd string safety and a starting WR.
The cupboard isn’t bare, there’s plenty there…we just need the chefs to step up. Crying shame how that game was coached, and we’ve seen this all too often. We’ve come to expect more with this talent and this fanbase deserves it. You want to see 16k in the stands regularly??? Stop screwing up the coaching on gamedays.

While the FG try timing did seem off, Frahm is a senior and should still make it. He also had an ugly kick earlier in the game that proved costly. Coaches should never leave it in the hands of a kicker, especially at the college level.
Anyways, what kind of team are these guys? Can they win out? Or are they also going to lose to UNI, NDSU, and @USD?
Win out and probably a top 1-4 seed. If they lose those 3 and finish 7-4 with a D2 win, they could be left out entirely. Guess we will see how they respond.
