    Re: UW-La Crosse

Not a bad start!!! Watson "scampers" 55 yards on the first play from scrimmage (3rd on the depth chart, yeah right)!!!

Jack 7, those other guys: absolutely nothing.

D seems to be coming around. No more bad TO's and we should put them away in the 2nd quarter.

Punt blocked, about 15 yards. We need to puch it in right here.

                Re: UW-La Crosse

Stig screwed things up a little bit. Stick to the ground and we put these guys away. I know balance on the ground and in the air is important but when you can run, you should run.

Nice pick, maybe we'll sneak 3 or 7 in before the half anyways.

                  Re: UW-La Crosse

21-7 lead at the half, not bad. Should be a larger lead. We had very little trouble running the ball and did a nice job stopping their offense.

16 carries for 150+ yards on the ground, should have been well over 200. I favor pounding out a few more ground yards. I think I made my point.

Jacks should have things wrapped up shortly. Keep up the defensive intensity.

                      Re: UW-La Crosse

I agree, sounds like if they establish more long drives would keep the UW-LC offense off the field and use play action. Plus that was a great effort on the 54 yard field goal glad to see coach is not afraid to try that long of a kick will payoff down the road.

Good effort but it always seems that Jacks first game they don't play as well as they could.

We ran 16 times and passed 14 times, would like to see Watson get 20-30 carries a game and Koenig get 10 or so with balance going to Kardoes. Would make passing game more efficient. My opinion

Agreed, Watson should be the workhorse spelled by Koenig and others as needed. Use the passing game to keep the weaker defense honest, don't rely upon it.

Watson needs at least 10 touches this quarter.

                                Hmmmm.

21-13 Jacks throw an INT, Eagle throw a TD pass. Poor team misses PAT, however, poor team remains within one score of the Jacks.
