I have a softball tourney this weekend so I won't be able to make it. Looking forward to hearing some comments from those who do though. Starting to get some football fever already!

We need something like this out of the Argus or at least the Brookings Register. This is the 4th story, after Favre returning, the Brewers close win last night and the Bucks playing the Pistons in today's Journal Sentinal. The Argus has an article about Kyle Lohse. I think they have time to check out the state's best football team.

I also think they have time to do something like that for USD and Augie. This is a slow time for sports. The least they could do is a quick rundown with updated depth charts for each team. Am I crazy in expecting this?

I really wish the Agrus would do a better job of covering collegiate sports in the state, especially the two largest schools. It just seems like they would rather talk about the Stampede though. Hopefully something comes out in the Argus the next couple of days.

I agree the Argus needs to cover State, and even, USD for that matter. But the Stampede are in the Clark Cup finals right now!! And State and the U are just playing their spring football games.

DL Eric Schroeder is out for the Spring game due to a deep shoulder bruise. That leaves only 1 DL from last year that will be playing. It will give the RSFR an opportunity to get alot of reps. They will all be healthy for fall camp.

How many DL are coming off their redshirt year and does anybody know if any of our recruits are able to play right away?

2 coming off redshirt (Bazata, Pfieffer) and one coming off injury (Jones). Right now I would guess our depth chart looks something like this:

DE Nobiling Dei
DT Schroeder Jones Pfieffer
DT Pontrelli Bazata
DE Suhn/Herman Suhn/Herman

I would hope we would be in the market for someone to come in right away at end. I think the most developed from the incoming class would be Basham (Texas) and Batten (Arizona)

The Argus has been covering the Spring game for USD, they had it last week. So I fully expect at the minumum a summary of the SDSU spring game.

Forecast looks very wet for tomorrow, makes it harder to see what some of the guys can really do. I'll still be there, that is why I have raingear. Also a good cold one taste good in any weather.....

Is there a chance the game may be cancelled due to rain/wet conditions. I would think a wet sloppy field would be more apt to causing injuries which we need to avoid. Hasn't this happened in the past...

Usually the game's only cancelled due to snow. Rain only stops practice if lightning is present. They don't usually worry about chewing up the field because they have all summer to fix it up. The injuries are more of a concern to some degree, but I doubt they'd cancel it.
