I sat on the East side next to some UCA fans. They said Fairooz is 6-7 and runs a 4.3 40. they evidently have a couple more getting solid looks. Not surprising, this is a good team.

It is really good to see us gelling as a team. Kardoes and the defense are really coming around.
It is going to be an exciting rest of the season for us.

Also sat on the east side. Have to thank the rabbit den guys and Jack Links for one heck of a tailgate party. Best ribs and beer battered onion rings I've ever had.

Walked into the stadium and couldn't believe how many people were there. Hard to find 6 seats together, even on the east side. Definitely a lot of people. Could have made more noise, though. Students were awesome, best I have ever seen.

As for the game, we could have won much more easily. Our defense is playing as well as possible and poor decision and play calls by the offense have made it even harder on the defense. Now way UCA should have scored.

Officials struggled but fortunately they were equally bad for each team. UCA couldn't run the ball at all. I don't think we interfered near the endzone (they fumbled the next play anways) and I do think their receiver interfered on the TD catch. Oh well, should have been a shutout.

Kardoes made a terrible throw on the first pick-off and a terrible decision on the second pick. He also made some unbelievable passes that were dropped. The second pick is inexcusable. He can't make that throw, no way, no how. Either don't call that play or make sure your QB is willing to eat it/throw it away. When your up 14, moving the ball and going for the score to put away the game the only thing you can't do is turn it over. We turned it over, AGAIN. This theme seems to be repeating itself in games where we have the lead. THIS HAS TO BE A POINT OF DISCUSSION.

All-in-all, a dominating performance by the Jacks. UCA really had no chance. What a great time, I only wish we could have a party like that every weekend at CAS.

The game was awesome. The Fanaddicts booth was swarmmed for most of the pregame. The 2 hours of tailgating before the game was good. Kardoes still shows his inconsistancy. The first pick when he threw to Wags the defender just got inside of wags on the pass. The second one that was in Wags area who knows what was going through his head. Awesome watching Wats fire up the team. I missed watching Parker kick. It was nice hanging out with some of the guys after the game downtown. 3-3 who would have thunk it after our start.

I was at the game in the north endzone and I was really excited the whole time. It seems to me that I am the only one within 30 yard of me that gets really excited and I get cross ways looks when I do. Somewhat dissappointing.

We should have been up 21-0 at half and won 35-0. I thought it was a shame to have not scored after the outstanding fake punt call by us. I was watching Neal and saw him jump and thought crap, then the old football player in me started looking for the fake and I was ecstatic that we did it.

Anyway, great win for the Jacks and that little number 56 is one heck of a D-end.

Congrats Jacks and Coaches.

Consider that Bonwell didn't play high school football and has only played about 3 years of football. The guy is a stud and has a lot of talent. The D is starting to come together good. There were some missed tackles that did kind of hurt us in the game last night.

I have to agree with eqguy. That D end Batten is a man. It's hard to believe he is a true freshmen. He is tearing it up out there.

Any word on #50 Marty Kranz? He left the game early on his own power but was favoring a leg (knee? ankle? hamstring?) and wasn't on the sidelines when the game ended. He's one of the leaders on the D and plays his heart out...sure hope nothing series happened to his leg.

Talked to Marty at the end of the game. He was banged up but ok.

Same with Koenig. Had a sore shoulder, didn't play the second half but should be alright.

Dusty Snyders told me the official apologized to him after half time. He got totally hosed on a long reception.

Like I said earlier Koch also got hosed on the interference in the endzone. It was as good a play as the UM play that they got hosed on.

I was on the east side also and enjoyed the game but few people were getting up and cheering except the student section. Very dissapointing. There was one guy behind their defense who was riding the team pretty hard and cheering for the jacks. He was pretty funny but other than that not much for real fan support around me.

Random thoughts....

Just got back...great game last night. We had opportunities to win by about 30....Andy's INT in the endzone and Doblar's fumble inside the 20....Oh well....Andy's plays with all kinds of heart and courage, I like that, looks like he somtimes tries to make too much happen. He's really proven himself this year and I'm glad he's making me eat crow. Would have been nice to get the shutout, I'm not sure I saw the pass interference that other people saw on that TD catch though - looked pretty clean to me. Always nice to stick it to a top 25 team (for the 3rd week in a row) and especially nice to stick it to one with all the "swagger" that UCA had. Fake punt was a great call. Andy made some nice deep throws and had a couple other balls dropped. Snyders caught that ball, no doubt. One play JaRon had beat his guy by about 4 steps and Andy just couldn't quite get enough on it as he was rolling out to his left, underthrew it and defensive pass interference was called. D-Line was awesome. Schroeder and Pontrelli are tough as nails in the middle...Batten and Bonwell and freakishly fast for DE's. We got a good young group there....

I'm all about winning with class and losing with class. I think those who post on this board and our student-athletes, by and large, are examples of this philosophy. That being said, I was not impressed with the UCA fans with the exception of UCABEARS75. I'm not trying to rub this win in anyone's face, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't take a little pleasure in their fans eating a little crow. That level of arrogance and lack of respect for a team is quite similar to our neighbors down south. I think UCA's fans got what was coming to them after downplaying our wins against their own conference. I suspect the conference schedule will be much more difficult for the Bears than they are anticipating.

I must weigh in for support of Andy. He played a top notch game. As far as I noticed, there were only two bad decisions for him and they both happened to be picked off. Guess he needs to be perfect to get everyone on board. Also, not that we will know for sure, but from what Stig said after the game, it sounds like Andy was told that Wags would be open. That said, I guess he could still have held off.

Twice I was amazed that Andy got two deep passes off, just before getting hit, on his back foot and they were pretty much on the money. Both roll outs, one to his opposite side. I give him an A-.

Wasn't sure about Dusty's catch, thought maybe the ref saw no control and surprised he apologized. Also getting used to the no-call push offs in the endzone, but thought those days were done with our new refs.

This game could easily have been won 31-0. Absolutely amazing Defensive domination and looking forward to Cal Poly in two weeks. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Jacks peek in the top 25 this week, but would rather it come later.

I am going to weigh in for support for Andy 8-). Good game, not great. Some moments of awesome, some of “what were you thinking?” More so I want to support the whole team. Offense, defense, special teams and coaching staff. The last 4 weeks have shown you are a TEAM with guts, courage and a “Never give up attitude” and a capital T-E-A-M. Congrats guys. You are a TEAM no ONE person loses or wins for you. I love the way you support and cheer for each other on the sideline. Too bad some of the posters here can’t do that. Some of you have stepped up – good going.
One can’t help but see that the animosity towards certain individual players shown by some of the posters on this board have nothing to do with football. When opposing coaches, our coaches, players, the media and the conference are giving accolades these guys find fault. Shows you they don’t have too much football savvy. If those players played a perfect game on the field or died out there giving it all for SDSU these posters would still find fault. I guess you can only assume that player took his girlfriend or turned him down for a date. Either way those posts are just sour grapes and are as significant as one grain of sand on the beach.

I agree wholehearterly with the above comments. The SDSU football team is like parents and relatives. We don't get to pick them, but they are all we have and we respect them and root for them. The only other option is to totally ignore them. I can't wait for our next game. So the ignoring option does not suit me.

Isn't it amazing what three wins can do for the morale of the program and fans!!!

It was great to see a huge crowd for the game and I hope that continues at the last two games!

Now we just have to get the crowd involved!

It's good to be a proud Jackrabbit fan. Kudos to this team. They could have folded up the tent after the first 3 games, but they took the high road. Team character is all I ask for when rooting for the Jacks. I want to root for a team that makes me proud. This team makes me proud to be from SDSU.
