  • Re: Western Illinois

they aren't running the ball, i don't understand, they have a payton candidate running back, and he's only had about 5-6 carries.

Defense holds again. Run the ball?

Looked like he did. Go right back to him next time. I think we're playing OK. Given how WIU's coach talked about wanting to physically dominate... well... that's not happening. I'd say the easily the strongest unit on the field has been our defense.

        Now Doblar drops it. Hrumph.
        Holy nutmeg!

They've ripped off one big run but really our D has been pretty good on the run against them.

Jacks have the ball again on their own 45 yard line, 5:34 to go 2nd quarter.

another first down...offense doing something right...

Berry to Harris goes to the 16. Little over a minute to go in the half!

This game reminds me of the Central Arkansas game last year. Jacks struggled for a few series and then just started to dominate. Hopefully we can keep this up for 2 1/4 more quarters

How lucky are we to have a backup back like Hohn (not to mention the O-line we have)? WIU has hardly touched the ball this quarter.

the line ... not watching the game, but i have to believe the line is helping the cause, eh ... the basics, baby.

no need to throw a fade from the 16.

I get the impression they are trying to use Berry like Kardoes. Not sure that is a good idea. Now 3rd down and we haven't run the ball this set of downs.

Seems like the coaches out-thought themselves on that series.

It looks to me like we're getting the better of WIU on the line, pretty consistently right now. Those two interceptions are why they've got the lead right now.
