Re: Potential new redshirt rule allows freshman to play in up to 4 games while redshi
I'm not real shook up about it but I am a little concerned. We are missing 3 of our top 6/7 WR's. If one or both of the "dinged up" players get hurt we could have 1 fairly healthy WR and 1 injured player out of our top 6.
I hear the attitude that other players have to step up but the other players are between 7-12 on the depth chart for a reason. We do have a good defense and special teams but to go deep in the playoffs, you can't be marching out 3rd or 4th string players. I guess NDSU can win with special teams and running the ball so it is possible. SDSU is deeper than ever so who knows.
This could be a good example of a freshman playing a game or two until Marquise or Deyon come back and then still redshirt.
