I've run into a half dozen Nebraska fans I know from Sioux Falls who attended their first SDSU game this year. IMO, there are a lot of 90's Nebraska fans whose only current reason for cheering for the Huskers is the fact that they are on TV. There is nothing to keep them from remaining a Nebraska fan, but unless they are going to drive to Lincoln they don't get to experience it in person. Many can be turned.

At the Youngstown game, I had the pleasure of sitting next to an older gentleman from Omaha. (I state that it was the YSU game, because he did not come because it was Hobo Day.) It was his fifth ever college football game that he has attended. He watches many MVFC games on ESPN3 and thought it would be good to see one in person. He really seemed to enjoy the whole experience. He had done his research on SDSU as he knew we had new facilities and knew we recruited in Omaha. I thought it was refreshing that we are generating interest from outside of our sweet spot for fans attending a game. A bonus was that he's been a lifelong Husker fan. For a college football fan to make a 7 hour round-trip trek to Brookings to watch a Jackrabbit game, says something about the quality of product we are putting on the field and in the facilities.

Sounds good, I have been cravings tailgating at wings for awhile. since I have to work, after work I will watch the game on DVR and eat some wings at home.
