Quick observations...
1. TC is just off, bad throws, indecisive
2. Run game sucks again
3. DLine is doing ok, but getting worn
4. Back 7 is doing a terrible job of assignment football, they're not trusting their teammates to be where they need to be and giving up their gap, Dallas Brown in particular
5. Cal Poly is going to get a few big passes a game, but giving up huge passes on 3rd and long is completely inexcusable
based off the first half you would probably mess up which team is the MVFC team and which is the big fluffy. Cal Poly completely owning both lines of scrimmage in the half.
In fairness to the defense, the triple option is awfully difficult to simulate in practice. It can be done, but not nearly to the level of perfection that teams that actually run it can. You have to have the appropriate personnel to practice it, and it requires blocking techniques and other nuances that the guys just aren't use to.
With one half under our belts, I'd expect some effective half time adjustments and an improved performance by the D in the second half.
