Potentially a great addition if it works out. OSU and Cincinnati didn't work out so time will tell with the Jacks. I believe he will sit this year out as well so not playing ball for three years is a concern. Wish Schmidt could play this season with this offense and see what could happen but it won't happen.

Not playing for a couple of seasons is concerning, but he should have been practicing the entire time. Not like totally missing a season or two because of injury.

Why does Schmidt need to sit out. I thought transfers from FBS to FCS were eligible immediately?

I would think he will be a big part of the scout team during his sit out year. This way he learns our system. There is no news of academic issues so this should not be an issue.
