2016 Roster

Roster for 2016 is now posted.

One noticeable member that is gone is JT Hassel (somebody had mentioned this).
Nick Jensen, PWO FB isn't listed (I believe he was heading to St Cloud).
Three OLineman (Fr Jake Ford and RFR Thor Riemer, Mike Shoff)
Shak Taylor also not listed (which we already knew).

There may be more but this was my first glance at it.

I notice that Bryce Siverling is still on the roster that must be an error right?

Just noticed that as well. So I looked at his bio and he played every year with a redshirt year and no season ending injuries. So must be an error.

One thing I noticed 33 of our 39 2015 recruiting list are returning. That doesn't include Zie Mosely & Austin Smenda who may or may not be joining the team.

Someone reported earlier that Smenda is on the team but not Mosely. I think it was in the 2016 recruit thread.

Looks like Tywan Ramsey dropped off the roster. Not sure he was ever healthy.

With 6 Yankton guys on the team, maybe the Yankton paper should have a dedicated beat writer for SDSU.

I am looking at the Roster and the recruits. Looks like what 18-19 guys on Oline? How many Oline players are usually carried on a team? That seems like depth. How many more do you feel they need? Also, holy cow--I look at the size of these guys and many of them seem too tall and big, can they move? I love the big guys up front and no team can function with out them but they need to be athletic and be able to move.

I have a question for everyone. What areas from the 2015 roster do you feel we need to be improved on? Have we addressed these issues in recruitment or RS stepping up? What are the weak areas of our 2016 roster if there is?

It's always the OL. Than, recruit for speed and size and coach into positions.

Sorry I haven't provided more information with the roster updates as I have been quite busy. What I have seen on here is all true. The one piece I would like to add is that Austin Smenda is now eligible and practicing with the team. From what I heard, he worked hard last semester and stuck it out to join the team this semester.
