If Worrum doesn't fall down on his own on that deep pass?
If Weineke doesn't break the tackle and score on our deep pass.
If Brown makes that 2nd interception?
If, If, If...
One great thing.
I went and read ISU's board, just to see what they are saying about us.
And while some were complimentary, a number of them gave the refs the blame (of course), and a number of disparraging remarks about the announcers... And how there is no replay at CAS, and how few people were there...
I found it hilarious, that near the end... a couple of them thought that they should go to a "platoon" qb system, to give Roberson some more rest, and to just get in a different groove, occasionally. One of them even said something along the lines that "SDSU has shown it can work". Oh my word. Funny stuff.

One last observation, then I'll give it a rest. It's just a given that EVERY play, decision, gesture, slip , fall, dropped pass,TO, QB used, punt,FG,what the uniforms look like, how the students behaved, standing vs sitting, etc, etc, etc will be heavily, and most of the time overly analyzed and second guessed....it's who we are,......j/k I think the over all mood however,is one of happiness .....thank you dear Lord. Can't wait till the next game to do it all again....

By the way, what did that play look like on TV ? Couldn't really tell on the stadium replay but someone at the game said they got a text from people watching on TV that said it should have been ruled a turnover.

Considering that they had less than 8,000 at their last MVFC home game, this is precious stuff...

Re: Illinois St: GDT
The kicker was Sam Koob (sp?), and he was in because Carlson was not able to go in. Second, he was supposed to kick it like a regular squib kick, and instead it pulled right into the gut of an up front guy. While I'm not as good a coach as the rest of you, I believe the idea was to make sure they didn't have a long kick return and instead have a long way to march down the field. I won't go into the two point try discussion, as we have plenty of other experts available to second-guess the decisions. I assume the coaches just draw a number out of a hat.
Finally, and I know I should probably have skipped making this post, CAS was as loud and sustained as I have heard it this year. I don't care what the TV sounded like, or what the announcers said, I was there. And if somebody else who was there want to post they thought it was quiet...do it, but if you weren't there, how about listening to those who were there.
Great crowd, great and impressive win against a very good team, outstanding defense, Lujan did a great job when TC had to leave, and TC played outstanding, while Wieneke did what Wieneke does (unbelieveable talent). We got a couple of breaks from referee rulings, and so did ISU (particularly where T. J. took the ball out of the hands of the guy who was laying on top of one of our players). What a wonderful afternoon!!!
