The he sad thing is although the forecast calls for perfect FB weather on Saturday it's supposed to rain both Thursday and Friday night now. Brookings plays Thursday night in what should be the final HS game there this year. Pray they don't tear it up too much. As for Saturday the field should be dry enough provided our "dome"(the crown on the field) does its job.

    GO JACKS!!!!!
The National Weather Service for Brookings says the rain starts after 10:00 PM ,so the field should not be affected.

You can smoke dope legally there or has it not started yet. I suspect they will be booked for a long time. Not a healthy environment in my opinion. I got admit building motels in Brookings is becoming a money maker.

Dale Larson bought the Staurolite so major renovations will be under way. There is also talk of building another major hotel by Innovation Village from the Den-Wil group. The idea is for teams to actually stay in Brookings instead of Sioux Falls so it will be nice and big enough to host a college football team. Currently there is not a hotel that meets this need.

Yes read about Innovation in the Register. It makes you wonder where Rev. Beifelt gets his resources. He has got them so... build away. I did not know about Dale Larson buying the Starlight. Definitely a big help. There seems to be something every weekend so its going to be a good investment for those taking the risk.

I would agree that Dale Larson must be a deep secret partner as 25Th Ave LLC is the owner of the Staurolite and the state website does not list him on the officer list.

I haven't lived in Brookings for a few years, so I don't know if this has changed. But I know teams used to stay in Brookings. I can recall SIU staying at Staurolite before they whooped us in the Conf. Champ game in 09. UNI has stayed at Days Inn several times, as have most other teams from what I recall. I remember seeing Cal-Poly at the Fairfield Inn before (may have been the Hampton, it was one of those right by Applebee's).

Exciting game, very much like Jacks play off game last year up there. Definitely want to watch 2nd half, and look for the UNI injuries. In general, those injuries are still mia. Then look how replacementshe did, that will be who we face. Bailey is that crazy legs "qb". However, he is not an accurate passer, likewise, there is no DJ alternative rb. Contain Bailey, force him to pass a lot, especially vs tight coverage, Jacks D should succeed in shutting down their offense. On Jacks offense vs uni d, almost a mirror òf uni ò vs sdsu d. Ì just think that our offensive weapons are more varied and multi-talented at qb than uni's.

Let me know next year. I can accommodate 5 in my cabin. www.poinsettcabin.com 20 minutes from Brookings.

Really love the logo on the helmet, I have been wanting some version of our rabbit since the new logo came out! Will the other side have the same thing, with the ears touching in back ala vikings helmets?

As a side note, is it weird to have the backward looking rabbit facing forward? Could have done without the blue lightning-bolt looking neckline so it was just a forward looking rabbit.

Some people will find anything to complain about...
