Hope he's a good red zone running back.Yards are a lot tougher down there. He seems to be able to get yards where ever he's at on the field, doesn't depend on a lot of blocking,of course they all need some.Looks like a good addition to me,more competition and depth at the position.

At the very least, this is a solid, late addition to the 2017 class!

Could be, but I don't think that offense was designed to pass, especially to a TE. He plays Volleyball and was a state champion 220lb wrestler. I think this translates well, great hand eye coordination and physical tools as well as mental. You'd normally worry that he can't jump if he didn't play basketball but I think volleyball answers that question. His build is eerily similar to Goederts coming out of HS.

Parade Magazine for 2/5/17 (in a lot of Sunday newspapers) list its Parade of High School All Americans every year and notes where they've committed for college. Daniel Callender, Yuma AZ, committed to the Jacks, is an Honorable Mention Parade All American. In the Signing Day thread, it was noted that Callender was a Parade All American. I'm just pointing out it was published today and reviewing the list, it appears he's the only commitment to an FCS school on the list.

Second, this is a hell of a class. Yes, we won't truly know for 3-5 years what the true value of this class is but it sure is fun to dream now. You heard Coach Stig in the video talk about "Difference Makers". I've heard from a coach that they honestly think they have 8-9 of these players this year. Most classes are lucky to have 3. I tried to come up with my personal "Top 5" in the class but I couldn't.

The bad news... NDSU and USD also have excellent classes on paper. It should be fun watching these recruitment battles in future years!
Coach Stig was on the halftime show of the men's basketball game tonight. He made a comment that he thought there could be as many as 5 guys from this class contribute this season. Seemed really happy with the class.

We shall see. These kids now days get way more coverage than they used to get even 5 years ago. The fact is most of the best players never received much recognition. Work hard, win games
