Don't get me wrong, I am #22's most zealous fan, but I am also a realist. He is simply not built for RB at all, and in spite of all efforts, will never be, and I am okay with that.

Je Ryan did a great job on Stig's radio show yesterday.

No wrong doing on your part, but I got carried away. For that I apologize. I do think a great deal of your son and his abilities. As far as spelling his name right, I have a history there as well. I am sure being a RB does require a certain build and with each tackle, pain. With a PR, there is always a chance of running away, which did happen in one game.

You get a pass on his name No offense was taken on any point made, I was merely chiming in with my observation.

Is there a recording of the Coach Stig radio show, or a podcast?

Quote to me from a former player "I wish Coach Stig would get his head out of his a** early in the season and get the best player for a position in that position!" Hindsight is 20/20. Might we have been hosting a 2nd round game if this had happened earlier in the year? Again, hindsight.

It is fortunate that he did the fix eventually. The punt returns had become an adventure every time.

On the official website, I checked and I did not find any recording of Coaches show. Apparently the radio shows are not archived or at least I could not find them, maybe someone else has had better luck locating things on GoJacks.com. Its a web page that has become a mess and you can't find anything anymore, not even the live events.

I agree with you. This former player went on to say the he thinks Stig might be a little "too loyal" in some instances which isn't all bad, I suppose. I think there have been some personnel issues that could be called into question the last few years. Given the limited information available to us as fans I prefer to believe that the coaches are making informed and proper choices based on a much greater amount of info than any of us, former players or not, will ever have access to.

I do wish we hadn't stunk so bad on special teams through mid season, it definitely hurt the final record.

Remember how it took Tief getting hurt to get Dale on the field two years ago?

TOB had him fooled up to the last day.(Like there is no God) In Stig's defense its hard to figure out what is going on in 100 minds at one time. This is where the assistant coaches come in and they really need to be close to the players. Some of these loyalty issues might stem from assistant coaches covering up for certain players. Who is to say that this has not happened from time to time.

The special teams issue is a puzzle, as at Difference Maker's meeting Stig has mentioned more than once how important these guys are and important that they perform in an excellent manner, but yet Shannon and Stig both seemed to have let a lot of stuff go. Until they have heard fan rumbling, and then all of a sudden, they addressed the problem.

TOB quitting for Sumner to play. I think that was the same year. The 10 pick sixes didn't do it. (I said 10 as an intentional exaggeration, but now I'm not so sure.)

Stig has a lot of Gardenhire in him "Guy plays his tail off" Who cares? do they win? I did find it interesting Shoff and Langer both took the field as starters this year. I don't know if that would have happened a year ago even.....
With fans like this who needs enemas.....

I think TJ Lally started (and starred) last year as a freshman linebacker.

Like Shoff, Witzmann started after redshirting his freshman year. Witzmann has been an anchor for 4 years, starting every game in that span.

While I do agree that Stig has a lot of Gardy in him with loyalty, he does have a track record for getting some younger players on the field.
