Having your skill people back from a team that squeaked out 4 wins doesn't assure them of being the "real deal" next season.

When the lost some close ones to some really good teams but won some close ones against some not so good teams sort of equals out. they improved enough from last year to not be the worst in the confrence. granted they have played much better but they really had no where to go but up. They might be a little better next year if they keep improving like having a winning record maybe but i dont see them competing for a confrence title race anytime soon.

What's all this about USD being so young? According to published programs, SDSU and USD each have 16 seniors. That seems pretty normal. Both schools will have skill players returning next year. The difference is that SDSU's players will be returning from a winning season.

Probably because they "look" better this year then last year and its not just upperclassmen leading the way. I agree we graduate plently of linemen which gives me some concern but usd looses a fair amount of guys too.

It was a good win by the Rabbits.

And I wouldn't go so far as to call USD the most improved team in the conference...that's probably SIU or Mo. St.

But they are improved, they is no doubt about that.

Just saying that USD has narrowed the gap the past 2 years. They were a play or 2 away from winning 3 more games. Donovan, Earl, Bouma, Roberts, and Meyer all are fresh/sophs. Plus they return VanderMaaten and Terry. That offense could be explosive if they can replace a couple vet lineman.

Agree and will add that was expected. Focus for Jackrabbits cannot and should not be on USD. It must be on NDSU, UNI and the top of the Summit league. Coyotes are done, on to much bigger games.

The last I knew we played in the Missouri Valley Conference. But what do I know, you have been in it longer.

I get it. That said, the luck thing goes both ways. When you win 3 games by 3 pts. each and the other in double OT one could also say they were a play or 2 away from winning only 1 game again...or worse. I'm done talking about them. They suck less this year, congrats to them.

They are following rule 2 or the 3 rules everyone should live by.
                      1. Don't suck.
                      2. If you suckn suck less at it.
                      3. More cowbell.

Gotten me threw life pretty well following those guidelines.

Well that is pretty darn easy when the gap is as far as the east is from the west, now isn't it?
