Perry was not engaged with another blocker at the time and it was from his front on a play he was trailing. Parker's back was to the ball as well, so he could not be sure if Perry was going to be able to make a play on the ball carrier or not, and he was within the rules to make that block in that situation.

If you think playing to the whistle is a cheap shot, don't be a hypocrite and get after your own linemen for doing so, as I promise you that you'll see Bison linemen being excessive in their blocking as well.
parker also knows what the play call was. so he likely knows where the ball carrier is going. i was upset about it but it's in the past. i dont think any bison player will retaliate for it. at least i hope not. i think it will motivate them though

The Football fan side of me...who likes to watch line play, and execution...is very worried. This NDSU team is probably better than the last 2, and they won they national title.

Last year, week in and week out, I saw our O-Line Blow open holes for Zenner against everyone...except NDSU. They dominated at the line of scrimmage. I'm afraid of this result again.

But, I'll be there, and I'll be cheering loud. Go Jacks! Give em heck.
that being said perry is still nowhere near 100%. also jirik hurt his shoulder last week. not sure what his status is so our DL is banged up. should be interesting to watch the battle up front

          I scored a 43

Edit: I took the test on a different monitor at work and scored a 9.

NDSU's defensive and offensive lines would be in the upper half of the Big 10. I firmly believe this. So yes, their D-line is better than the Cornyuckers.

5dimes line on this game has NDSU by 12.5. Seems reasonable to me.

From the time they were facing each other with both players having all 4 hands on each other until your still was less than a second.

Here is a split second prior to your still shot. Perry brings his left (injured) leg forward as SDSU guy is dropping to the ground. Our offensive lineman are indeed mighty, but even they cannot defy gravity (yet).

The players went from front facing, fully engaged to on the ground in less than a second, but obviously the SDSU guy premeditated his cut block with malice and ill intent.

I believe the game is going to come down to our o-line play. IF we can open up holes we have a pretty good shot at winning. Also I think our secondary needs a lot of improvement.

I don't want to beat a dead horse with the "cheap play", but here goes. I would like someone from NDSU to tell me if they have ever heard of the "Wings for Legs" program. We had former players explain this an incentive program where they got a Buffalo Wild Wings gift card for taking out a lineman's knees. Maybe this was all bar talk, but we won't play anyone who cuts more than NDSU all year. Again, just ask Schroeder what he thinks. I will add that this is completely within the rules of the game. However, if Parker's play was considered cheap, then we're opening a big can of worms. I would invite whatever retaliation the Bison are considering as it is likely the same techniques that are used every week...which, again, are completely legal. No one has been crying about their tactics for the last 5 years, so I'm not sure why Ms. Perry is so sensitive.

Is SDSU going to sell SRO tickets for this game?

Seems like they could sell a few of these in the endzones.

Wow, everyone needs to take a chill pill. Nebraska beat you, not Wartburg. You went toe to toe with a pretty darn good BCS team for a quarter and a half. I was in Flagstaff watching and was impressed. AND CHEERING FOR YOU. Take these guys down and humble them somewhat. Three Catrabbit....same color different assholes? Wow. Anyway, good luck Saturday.

The sidelines and corners will. be. packed.
