Nice to see Sumner out there throwing. I was curious if that would hold him back during spring ball at all. It is pleasant to see him apparently functioning without issue, with this injury hopefully far behind him. All there is to do now is look forward to 2 more years of this young man leading our football team.

I thought Sumner was sitting out spring ball because of his thumb injury. That was reported about a week ago, but it doesn't appear to be the case.

He’s cleared to do everything except face a live defensive line.

That's great news. Sumner could be ready to do something special this year if he returns to 2011 form and Zenner continues to keep the defenses honest. I hope this thumb thing is behind him.

Factually wrong, not a smack thread, and it's spring, when you work on things. Other than that, this is a dead-on post.

I heard somewhere that a scrimmage for today will be cancelled because of the snow, but I'm thinking this morning, with all the snow we got, the guys might as well keep practicing/scrimmaging in it. It'll be good practice for a home playoff game* or two in the snow this fall.

*Yeah, because we're really gonna get one of those again after last year's atrocious turnout.

Renderings of the practice facility are looking mighty good right now, especially for sports beyond football.

Get that thing built! These weather interruptions can't be good for spring progress for any of the outdoor sports. Will the facility be done in time for next spring?
