Yeah you guys have played two great games and are "hot" team but lets be honest the competition wasn't exactly high quality. USD is a complete joke and EIU didnt appear to be much better.I am nervous, but its the playoffs, who wouldnt be... I can guarantee you that the Bison will be ready to play and you will get our best effort.Travel safely and see you on Saturday!

Side Note: Of all the games I played in during my opportunity to put on the SDSU uniform, the game in NDSU during my senior year was the one I mourn the loss of the most. Ranek ran for about 900 yards. The play that swung the game was an ill-advised halfback pass to my cousin/teamate, Greg Niederauer late in the 4th quarter at about the Bison 40-45 yd line. Ranek didn't need to make the pass as he had about 20 yards of real-estate ahead of him, but he made it anyway. He underthrew it and the DB caught up to it and picked it off. We lost by 3 as Brett Gordon missed a long FG to tie it late."You just stood their screaming. Fearing no one was listening to you. Hearing only what you wanna hear. Knowing only what you heard." Re: Jacks vs. Bison take 2
This Bison roster is loaded with Juniors like about 27 to 30 of them, you do wonder if some of these guys have peaked in terms of talent, and are hanging round for the scholie money and the rings, which they may not get this year if we win on Saturday. With our RS-F class, we have some great talent, Butler, Eric Kline, Wesley, Kam Jones et al, I am quite happy about the future.Last edited by Nidaros; 11-29-2012, 02:26 PM.

In fact, I would argue we are more talented than them in many areas, although with more youth. Which leads me to what I think is the real difference between the 2 teams. Consistency. The Bison are more consistent in the performance of their talent than the Jacks have been this year. The game was essentially played to a draw in NDSU if not for 3 big screwups - 1) Defensive lapse on a QB sweep, 2) roughing the passer, 3) illegal participation. There was never one play in the previous game where the thought "they are just better than us" ever popped up in my head. The even level of these two teams are why we Jacks' fans have a realistic hope of going up there and winning for the first time in decades. It's also why the Bison fans are spending even more energy telling everyone they're not nervous about the game. Just like last game, this game's final score will most likely factor on one or two plays. I just hope they swing in our favor this time. We're due up there.

The only thing that matters right now is that we have a tailgate and Bison Game Day this weekend. None of this national championship crap matters for squat until well after this game is finished.
