  • Re: 2013 Recruiting List

    Thanks for the catch, Hambone.

Former SDSU Associate Head Coach Luke Meadows is the Offensive Line coach at Florida Atlantic. He's had a good eye for offensive line talent.

O'Fallon IL is an outer suburb west of St. Louis, about 2 hours north west of Southern Illinois. It also plays in Illinois's highest class, 8A.
We haven't pulled too many recruits out of the St Louis metro area. The QB Whittier who was here for a year and K Kyle Harris.
It looks like the Jacks will have a pretty stacked O-Line in a couple years with this years class and last years.

TV tweeted that he also had an SIU offer. Good to win a recruiting battle right in their backyard.

There's not a whole of info on the web about Orgill but it does appear he has some good speed for his size.
            11.09 in the 100m and 22.55 in the 200m as a junior.
            That's pretty solid for somebody that's 6'4".

When is the last time we have had a recruit from Colorado? This hasn't been in our recruiting footprint for a while now, but I am not complaining.

I don't think we've had a colorado player since we've gone DI and I started following the team.
We've recruited a handful of kids in Colorado the past 2-3 years but this is first time one has verbaled.
USD has had some success recruiting Colorado.

Orgill comes from a high school that is only 4-5 years new. (Similar to QB Dalton) It's in Parker, which is an outer suburb south Denver. They played football in Colorado's highest class (5A).

Orgill looks like he pretty good speed for being 6'4". Wonder if he had any other DI offers?
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

Been a while Andrew Down town Brown comes to mind, he ended up playing defense, but was a WR to start with. Seems like both NDSU and SDSU were trying to take away from Joe Glenn after winning two NC at UNC. Its been a while.

Maple Grove WR Jake Weineke (6-4, 205), a first-team all-state pick and MN Mr. Football finalist, said he has given a verbal to SDSU

I think his last name is actually spelled
                                Wieneke though.
