Re: Fizon Vs. Funnies Game day thread

My thoughts on the game yesterday:

    1. The game was meant to be played on grass.

    2. Bison fans disgrace the national anthem.

Seems like all we have going for us right now.

      1. I think Zenner is a better running back than Kool. Either use Kool as a #2 rb to give Zenner a breather, or use him like we use #4 Ryan Smith. Kool has talent, but he needs the ball in space.

      2. Sumner will be/is a solid QB, a guy you can build your program around. I think having a capable QB is the biggest piece of the puzzle. You can tell he has more pocket presence and throws better than TOB ever did. He's also faster than I thought he'd be

      3. Does your OC ever think about throwing deep over the middle. Moss would be great going downfield with his size.

      4. Need to get the new stadium. CAS is in rough shape.

      5. You guys aren't that far away from being a solid team. I could see the Rabbits in the playoffs next year, just need to build on what Sumner is doing.
      1. I said this since the beginning of the season. Zenner did see more action. Also, Dom Clare is much larger and should be used as our goal line back. Not sure why we do things this way.

      2. Sumner=Stud. No one's going to dispute that

      3. Our OC doesn't think. Moss will look great in the NFL because they will know how to utilize him.

      4. What? Who didn't tell us this? Seriously it's in the works and will happen. Now, truthfully which would you have rather done, been inside yesterday or out watching that game. Simply beautiful!

      5. We need CORNERS.
With fans like this who needs enemas.....

Loved the "bull****" chants when Warren Holloway got hurt near the south endzone. It was also very classy to see all but a handful on the bunny side sitting on their hands when he was able to make it back to the sideline. Glass house...

Knowing Halloway he was faking. He sure did not get hurt as he finished the game.

Wow you are certainly a class act. Halloway isn't exactly playing at a 100% right now.

As for the national anthem, is it a bit in poor taste? Yes but I don't think it is exactly a terrible horrible thing like some make it out to be. I don't do it, I did while I was a student but not anymore.

I missed this play so I can't comment on it. I was flipping between the SDSU/Gopher game (/facepalm/) But my comment was complete sarcasm. I personally don't think the "Home of the Bison" is that bad. I completely understand how some people can get upset, but I'm not one of them. There are tons of fans that do this.

I'm poking fun at my own fanbase for these comments. And I'm going to get ridiculed for it, but whatever.

I'm more worried about how NDSU fans brought half the crowd and kicked our ass. There are a ton of issues but it starts with funding. SDSU has some work to do; however, they bring back a lot of talent next year.

They were chanting"bull****" at the pass interference penalty, not the hurt player.Get a clue.

Expecting ndsu fans to have any common sense oe get a clue is wishingful thinking. It must be nice where the refs give you at ndsu every call. Ndsu commited more then one penalty in the game but only called for 1. The squeeky wheel gets the grease. Ndsu has been awful to refs for years and now ndsu gets the benefit of the call.

There wasn't interference on the play that he got hurt. And the student section was chanting "P*ssy" after he got hurt.

I'm pretty sure he was hurt on the series where we missed a long field goal, he went up into double coverage on a long pass into the endzone on first down.

NDSU fans, approx. 3500 to 4000 of them, were great fans. Half the crowd? Nope. (Attendance was 11,100+ for UNI and very few Panther fans were in the stands. Basically the same Jackrabbit fans were in the stands for both the UNI and NDSU game. The NDSU game attendance was 14,823.)

One thing I've admired about NDSU support in Fargo is it's impossible for us to take 3500 to 4000 fans to Fargo because they (NDSU fans) have most of the seats purchased. Tremendous season tickets numbers. (Incidently, I've been to all of the SDSU football games in the Fargo Dome since the DI transition.) The Jackrabbit fans have shown they will travel very well to a big game when the opportunity is present to get tickets (e.g. Nebraska last year).

Jack fans can take a page from the Fargodome seating book and apply it to the upcoming basketball season at Frost: season tickets holders can purchase basketball game tickets now...they go on sale to the general public Nov 1. So, shouldn't Jack fans buy up the tickets for a couple of opponents like USD (men and women -- the USD fans will show up for both), and NDSU men (the NDSU fans do not follow their women anywhere near the same as their men)?
