Yes, but more important is the previous point.

The Bison fans do their thing on the national anthem. That's annoying. But generally, what a great bunch of fans. The east side was pretty much all green. Had to be 3,000 or 4,000 loud Bison fans there today. During the game, they root FOR their team. Something I hope our other rival will do when they come to CAS.

Hats off to the Bison team. They're good. And the fans who travel so well and make a lot of noise for their team, too. A few might just possibly have a little too much of themselves wrapped up in the success of a football team, but to each his own.

I hope the Bison wallop UNI. Compare the obnoxious attitude of the UNI team to the workmanlike NDSU team today. Not a lot of trash talk. One unsportsmanlike penalty, but who knows what that was. Generally they are a lot like our team. They line up and do their thing. Fun to watch a game without all the chippy crap that UNI brings with it.
        Holy nutmeg!

Relax, you should be questioning the coaching choices today and not what some FB fans do
If your fine disgracing the national anthem that's good for you. I find it in bad taste and would be disapointed if it was sdsu doing it.

We will surely discuss the issues we see with our team indepth also but I find any team that it is wrong and its flat out disgraceful.

IDK about the national anthem I don't like it, but NDSU is by far not the only one who does that. I had a professor who grew up in Wyoming who said to a lot of people in wyoming think "go pokes" is part of the national anthem.

As far as the team. There is no creativity in the running game outside of the flash formation. It seemed if there was a hole the line backer was standing right there as soon as the back got through the hole.

Sumner did alright. He still takes to many hits, and you could see it was catching up with him. It also seemed like he had some problems with throwing along the sidelines, a few times he was 2-3 yards out of bounce, he over through Rollin in the end zone on the first drive. And then had that bad fade throw. If there was one part of his game he needs to work on its making those throws. He does very good inside the hash but seemed like he struggled a bit on those throws.

Moss- I don't know if he is running the right routes or if he knows the offense or whatever. But he can jump and catch. He is a little slow but his ability to find the football. Every young receiver should watch him go up and get the football not let the football come to him. There was at least 1 maybe 2 that could have been INT's if he hadn't gone and got it.

Defense- All I will say about the defense is some of those holes in the zone were so big I could have made the throws. Numerous times the corners were giving 7-9+ cushions on their receivers

Special teams- can't miss field goals and give up td's on punting and kick the ball out of bounce. I will defend the kicker on the first miss field goal. No kicker should ever have to kick a fg shorter then a PAT. Thats on the offense you have it first and goal from the 1 and you can't get it in?

Overall I can't tell if its personal or coaching. Are these schemes being chosen because the personal isn't there? Or is it just that bad of play calling?

Sumner did not overthrow rollin on the first drive rollin flat out dropped a great pass. And its very difficult to run a fade inside the ten. Not sure which game you were watching.

That was a great pass from Sumner that was flat out stone cold dropped from Rollins. In a game as big as this he needs to make that catch. That drop combined with the missed field goal changed the game IMHO. Up 7-0 is way different than being down 10-0. Not to mention as far as Moss being slow, I don't think he's slow by any means. Long strider yes, slow no. Kind of like a Alshon Jeffrey type of receiver.

For what it's worth, here is my take on the game
                  1. NDSU's players were faster and bigger at most positions
                  2. Jacks kicking game, well, just plain ol' "not good" today
                  3. NDSU's coaching staff managed the clock worse than Denny Green did in 1998 vs Atlanta (didn't think that would ever be possible) at the end of the first half.
                  4. Sumner is a player to build around. I'm starting to believe he is can be very very good.
                  5. Jacks need more size on the interior d-line

Memo to coaching staff - you have a big, strong 6'5" 230 lb QB who is a good runner. Could it hurt to call a QB sneak once in awhile ?

On the TV it looked like an over throw. Maybe it was a bad angle or maybe my eyes are going. I didn't really like the play call because if it would have been under thrown or had been jumped it would have been a pic 6.

I didn't really understand why the 2 guys that went out on that possession were Moss and Beneddetto (SP) The TE

The throw to Rolin in the 1st drive was perfect. He straight up dropped it.

I can understand watching it on tv but it wasn't even close to being underthrown or overthrown it hit him right where it was supposed to in the hands. All is good though mistakes happen all the time just can't do that against good teams.

And I don't like the fade route either especially when you are at the 1 but you have to at least give the receiver a shot. I was just critiquing and overall I thought he did a good job. The big thing I'm concerned about Sumner though is the hits he takes. He either has to throw it away or run. He may be big but the D-linemen are bigger. The receiving core needs a guy who can stretch the field. I thought Teifentaller was suppose to be that guy? He hasn't been seen the past few weeks. It seems like most of the sacks are coverage sacks.

Umm...no they didn't. I was sitting in the middle of the SDSU section in Fargo and nothing like that was said at the end of the anthem. Not that you could hear it anyway, since 15,000+ Bison fans think it's cute to disrespect the anthem in unison. Just admit it, it's a stupid, disrespectful, and unnecessary tradition that should just stop.

With that said, you have a very good football team...so congrats.
