Any insight into whether we will be able to pick up a video feed of the game this weekend? Our press release says a video stream will be available at gopoly.com, but when i look there now it doesn't look like there is a link to a stream on the schedule.
Here is the link for the video: http://gopoly.com/index.php?p=sports...1&tab=schedule

They charge for the video stream, but it is reasonable. Quality is questionable, but better than listening to the game.

I believe the Jacks signed a 2 for 1 with Cal Poly so we owe you two home games. I think they are a few years out though (Cal Poly's schedule was already full next year I think). I am always happy to see the Jacks on the schedule, although two trips to Brookings will be tough trips. Best of luck this season in the MVFC. I always pull for the Jacks when they are not playing the Mustangs.

      From TV's Twitter:
According to coach John Stiegelmeier, SDSU is pulling the redshirt of true freshman safety Jake Gentile from Council Bluffs, Iowa
Second red shirt of the class pulled and both in the secondary. The interesting part of this to me is that the coaches decide to do it for the Cal Poly game, a team that is more known for their running than their passing.

Those look to be some game changing injuries for Cal Poly.

Tyler also mentioned that Cal Poly's QB, Andre Broadus, is cousins with Snoop Dogg (Calvin Broadus).
Gavin Cooper has been out for the first two games. He practiced last week before the Montana game, but did not make the trip. I think he is questionable for this game. If he does not play it is a big loss. He is our biggest pass rushing threat.

As for McClure, he is a three year starter so it will hurt some, but we are fairly deep on the O-line. We have three tackles that all have started for at least one year. They will move three year starter Scott Winnewisser to guard and bring Giovanni Sani (2009 starter who miss 9 games in 2010 to injury) in at tackle.

This will be a tough game. The D will have to be disciplined and wrap up to stop their option attack.

Scheelhaase from Ill. made them look silly as far as tackling goes.....hope they watched that film over and over and learn to ,as another poster said,"wrap up" the runner. Then again,Cal Poly probably doesn't have a runner that would compare to that kind of athleticism.

I agree, the D was good against SUU, except for the secondary. The line if they can get pressure and a push like they did at home against SUU line, we might get them to make mistakes. Would like to see the D be agressive and not reactive when it comes to the option. The offense just needs TOB to not throw pick 6s, and it should be good enough to get the W. Its the only game I cheer for cal poly to lose.

It's game day! Let's go Jacks! The game is at 6PM central. I am trying to decide if I should listen to the game on wnax or pay for the video webstream.

                            Re: Cal Poly

I'm hoping we can get a good running game going and keep their offense off the field. The toughest part about playing Poly (offsensively) is their unorthodox defense. They are the only team I've seen run that crazy style defense which is designed to create havoc and it works. That makes me nervous with TOB having to think quickly and accurately, but I think he'll get it done. If our D can play assignment football, we can shut down that option. We should be able to out-athlete them, but I know they'll put up some points. In a standard Poly game, I expect a shootout between two solid football teams. I'm terrible at picking scores, but I think the Jacks take it by less than a touchdown.

Your not terrible at picking scores! I like the way you picked this one and I agree - Jacks in a close one. I do disagree on how we're going to get it done. We will need to throw the ball vs Poly. Montana exposed their pass defense last week by throwing the ball anywhere any time in the second half. Poly has zero QB sacks or Int's. Hope that does not change today. TOB steps up today, takes care of the ball. I don't abandon the running game but I think our passing game will when this one. Both teams score in the upper 20's or low 30's. Jacks by 9. GBGBGJ. Don't let me down TOB!
