I agree also. The Neb announcer who was way to animated in his voice talking just about drove me crazy.

Mr Lueth(SP) use to or probably still does games for washington high in SF. I felt he was really good, not a homer and fair so the other team and families would apprecieate I am sure.

I dont want the annoucer to do it, why not have the stupid score board do stuff in big situations to build up the noise and get the crowd up.

Speaking of scoreboard, while walking out of the stadium the other night I noticed an echo that got louder the closer I got to the field. That has got to be super annoying to visiting teams. All the more reason to move the band to the south endzone someday.

In response to what somebody else (sorry, I forget who) posted about needed a flashier/louder announcer at the SDSU games, I could not disagree more. In fact, I turned to my friend Saturday and said, "The more I go to games all over the place, from high school to pro, the more I appreciate the announcer here at CAS. He's a real pro."

Being a knucklehead cheerleader and getting caught up in the emotion is what I'm there for. I'm a fan. I'm up. I'm down. I'm ecstatic. I'm devastated. I'm happy. I'm angry. I swear too much. I get all wound up. I know how I'm supposed to feel, when I'm supposed to cheer or be displeased. I wish I knew who our announcer was...he's just a class act. I don't want a guy going, "That's another JACKRABBIT...FIRST DOWN!" like that jackass up in Fargo. And I don't want him getting too wound up like some a dad announcing a high school game while watching his kid. And I don't want a play-by-play guy, either.

I often buck the trend on this board, but I hope I'm in the majority on this one.

That somebody who made this comment happens to be me, and if you had read my post and those preceeding it, it was offered as a compromise to get the crowd more into the game.

Our PA Guy is very bland, plain and neutral.He has been that way since 1986, at least that is when I was able to once again attend fb games on a regular basis. I don't think he was won any awards for being that way.

I know you and others have been Fargo and being biased and homerous seems to work there. Thats all I was suggesting. Also those who would agree with you are some of the same ones who have been bitching about the lifelessness of Section F. I am post 65 in age and sit in section F. If you want those who are able to stand and make noise do so, then we need a little help from the PA guy, thats all I am suggesting.

Less bitching and more homering.
