Who would you like to see the Jacks play in the future?

In no order(or you can order it, it's your list): who would you like the Jacks to play in the future that they have never played as an FCS school, 5 FCS and 5 FBS.

I'll go:
FCS 1. Villanova(That would mean we are playing them in the playoffs right?)
2. Richmond
3. App State
4. James Madison
5. South Carolina State

FBS: 1. Wisconsin
2. K-state
3. Iowa
4. Colorado
5. Missouri
All driveable distances and great gameday atmospheres.

My other alma mater: Iowa.

Bonus: They have in the past paid huge guarantees. (I seem to recall Maine getting $500,000 or $600,000 a couple of years ago.)

I cannot disagree with the FCS teams, but I would like a home & Away with Montana, but they are too scared to leave their home turf.

FBS:
1. Iowa - recruiting & huge payout
2. Wisconsin - recuriting & huge payout
3. Missouri - recuiting for the KC area
4. Colorado/Colorado St (for the Black Hills Alumni)/recruiting
5. Arizona/Arizona State - recruiting


If we had a rotation of Minn, Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri, I think it would be a good fit.

I would love to play Nova, that would be a nice home and away. Road trip to Philly.

As for USD mentioned earlier, I can honestly say I don't care if we play them. Yes it would be fun, but I would much rather play Villanova or Richmond to see how we stack up against the very best in FCS.

I would prefer to get FBS games that we have a shot at winning. Nebraska is fun but we can't or most likely wont steal a win. And I understand we recruit there etc. If SDSU plays good FBS teams they MUST be regional for recruiting. MAC teams would be great because those are the players SDSU wants to recruit. Maybe a win could steal a few recruits.

1. Colorado - Wifes an alum, beautiful campus, decent amount of alums in Denver
2. Iowa - I feel like we are the FCS version of the Hawkeyes
3. Wisconsin - Could hopefully do what Cal Poly couldn't a couple years ago
4. Hawaii - Obvious reasons

FCS

1. USD - Time to bring it back
2. Montana @ Home - Revenge game on our field
3. @ Eastern Washington - Get to see the red turf
4. Richmond, Nova, Delaware, James Madison, W & M - Bring in a CAA for a home game

I don't think the money is very good with the MAC schools, and I don't think they're keen on inviting a school that has a legitimate chance of beating them.

After NDSU dismantled CMU(?) and beat Ball State, I think the Dakota schools are *both* off the MAC wish list.

FBS games are about 3 things: Money, Recruiting and Money. Looking at a breakdown of where the current roster hails from, there are some interesting numbers:

MN: 12
Iowa: 15
Nebraska: 13
Missouri/KS: 10
California: 7
TX: 4
Wi: 4

Based upon this we are scheduling the right teams who can pay us big money, and where we can recruit heavily. I would bet we are trying to schedule the Hawkeyes and Badgers.
Would we ever venture to California or Texas to play someone, better question, would they schdule the Jacks?

A win against a Minnesota, Iowa State, Kansas or Illinois would also steal some recruits and those games can be winnable (as we saw last year)

Especially since the year that CMU (which won the west MAC title) was dismantled by the Bizun, was the same year that the Bison had ONE loss, to the Jacks for the GWFC championship.
