Just a heads up for those who may interested in seeing how things are progressing. There is a scrimmage tomorrow afternoon that will start around 3:45 or so at the football practice field. There will be officials at the scrimmage. If you stop by, Coach Stig will usually take the time to chat with guests for 5-10 minutes.

Former football player Casey Hillman plans on walking from Deadwood to Brookings in an effort to raise funds for the Jackrabbit Athletic Endowment. He will present the game ball on the home opener at Illinois St.

Pretty amazing story, sorry if it's already been talked about in a different thread.

As far as who travels, I don't think that gets posted anywhere...but I could certainly be wrong. I am very interested in our backup QB situation. Generally, over the course of a season, you are gonna have to rely on your backup at sometime or another...

Can a redshirt travel with the team? Could anyone see a case where Sumner is the #2 QB in name but holds his redshirt during the season? Would only be pulled if TOB got hurt and we needed to go with the #2, otherwise Thomas gets mopup duties?
