Gotta feel a little (but not much) for the NDSU guys. Two years in a row they go to the league championships and have to lose two to miss going to the NCAA tourney. Last year, it was ORU. This year, SDSU. I think we find out Monday where the Jacks play next.
Congratulations Jacks. Two big wins today over the Bison. Coach Schrage is on his way to building a bigger and better program at SDSU. I was worried about, DARE I SAY, Choke job.
Seems like Turbak is a familiar Watertown name and sure enough, I checked the NDSU roster and Turbak is a Watertown guy, who can get some clutch hits. I wonder how he got away. It must be the glitzey lights of Fargo.

SDSU 1, NDSU 0 Very exciting baseball game!
Somehow, not hard to feel THAT sorry for them. Best team took two today. Big, Big Deal for Jacks!

Turbak's family roots are in Kranzburg, the little town about nine miles east of Watertown. The common family name in Kranzburg is, as one would expect, Kranz but the Turbak group has to be second...good people. Blake Turbak has been a good ballplayer for the Bison. Blake and SDSU's Eric Danforth overlapped in playing days at Watertown. And, both would have competed against Lane Somsen from his Yankton days.
