Caleb got the win last night in another extra innings game pitching 2 innings allowing 3 hits, 1 walk and had 1 strike out.

Nice write up in Baseball America on Caleb in the Twins organizational report. Mentioned how he had an off year his last year with the Brewers and how he went to the St Paul Saints which the Twins scout pretty well since they are right in their own background. Also mentioned that so far this season his velocity has increased and has been touching 95 MPH and normally sitting at 93 MPH right now.

Caleb pitched again today 2IP to get the save allowing no runs on no hits with 2 strike outs.

In Double A so far this season he is 2-0 with 2 saves 2.25 ERA 13 strike outs in 16 innings pitched. hitters are hitting .233 against him

Overall between High A and Double A this season he is 3-1 1.27 ERA 3 saves 29 strike outs 28 1/3 innings pitched. hitters are hitting .180 against him.

Very impressive so far this season for Caleb!

Caleb continues to do very well in Double A. he has had 3 outstanding appearances in row now. He is lowered his ERA in double A to 1.80. Right now in double A he is 2-0 with 4 saves a 1.80 ERA 26 strike outs in 25 IP and hitters are hitting only .198 against him. Overall between High A and Double A this season he is 3-1 5 saves 1.21 ERA 42 strikes outs in 37 1/3 IP and hitters are hitting only .168 against him.

Spoke with "The Kid" on the phone the other night and I have to say he is a breath of fresh air. He worked his butt off in the off season and it is really paying off for him. I really hope he keeps pitching like he is...Caleb has more talent in his little finger than most have in their entire family. The key is he works his butt off.

Can't wait to see how this year works out for him!
