  • Blake Treinen

Today's Draft Tracker by Baseball America lists Blake Treinen as a player that's draft stock is rising. It mentions that he is having a better season this year this last and his fastball is stting 92-94 and topping out at 97. It also mentions that is overall command is better and that he has a usable changeup but hasn't had to use it because of how good has fastball has been.

Well if you throw hard, you will be given a chance.

Who else has a chance at getting drafted?

Treinen throws hard, probably a bullpen pitcher at the next level but if he can throw 95+ out of the pen and control it he will be given every chance he has.

Not sure if you thought Treinen was a lefty, because he is a righty.

Sawyer and Vermuelen have the best chance outside of Treinen.

Yeah they both attended Perfect Game events, but they aren't draft eligible yet. If a player is at a 4 year university then they have to wait until they are 3 years removed from their high school graduation or 21 years old within 45 days of the draft.

Both Emery and Heemstra has a decent chance of being drafted when they are eligible if they continue to improve.

I know that, I just think that they have very good chances of getting drafted some day.

here is South Dakota's draft preview. Has a lot of good things to say about SDSU's program. Says that the program is looking up, mentions Kolton Emergy and Marcus Heemstra having prospect raw stuff. (also says Heemstra is from South Dakota but I'll let that one slide)

Anyone care to guess which round and team Blake goes to? I am going to be a homer and say Minnesota in the 9th.

I'm gonna say Colonel Mustard in the Conservatory.

                            Wait. What are we playing?
