There are a couple of big games this next week. St Thomas visits Baxter Arena to decide the early lead of the conference.
Denver(0-6) visits ORU(1-4) to determine if the Pios will keep ORU closer to the 8/9 game for the SLT..
The Jackrabbit game for Thursday is on the road against preseason favorite KC.

The Tommies(4-0) & Omaha(4-0) both have a critical home win over the Jackrabbits as SDSU struggles to find a road win 1/4 of the way into conference schedule. Road wins were hard for the Summit teams in the OOC. The Tommies & NDSU are the only teams with a winning record on the road up to this time. Denver currently looks to be locking in 8/9 seed for the SLT. STU, Omaha, KC, & NDSU are the top half of the conference. UND & ORU visit FB&T this week. The Jackrabbits will need to keep the home court undefeated to lift above center of the conference.

NDSU was the biggest surprise to me opening weekend. They had a good non-conference stretch but terrible start for them. I'm sure they'll be there at the end in March but not looking like they'll dominate the conference. USD had some brighter spots so far this year but seems up and down as well.

This should give the Jackrabbits some surge as the FHawks played the first half with the lead and the second half close on their home court. UND's Eaglestaff is hard to contain and King is steady.

Paul Mills Wichita St Shockers(8-3) had another shocker as KC Roos beat WSU by 10 in Wichita. Maybe the Roos are ready for a good conference season riding a 3 game win streak.

Forgot to Mention Moni is shooting like 42% from 3 on the year. Butler came back 67-62 with like 2:30 left, and Moni with 2 three's to put NDSU up 68-67 35seconds left. White has only had 3 points in the second half.

Moni hit another shot to put NDSU up 70-67. 18 seconds left NDSU inbounder tells White to go deep and lofts the ball across the court. White trips and the Butler player lets the ball go out. Butler gets fouled and misses the 2nd free throw (arena silent except for two loud NDSU fans yelling as shooter shots). There was a weird tie up on the rebound, and Butler had the arrow and had two shots but didn't convert. NDSU hit 1/2 at the line with .5 seconds left. 71-68 NDSU final.

That same day as the USD game, Oral Roberts lost to a d2 school, Rogers State, 69-68.

NDSU beating Butler in Indiana at the half 44-23. Jacari White has 24 points on 9/10 shooting (6/7 from 3). Game is on FS1. Butler (58 NET) has 3 top 75 NET wins over #24 Mississippi State (neutral), Northwestern, and SMU.

White is averaging 17.1 ppg and 6'10" F Jacksen Moni (senior transfer from Northern State) is averaging 16.0 ppg. All the Dakota schools had shown interest in Moni.
