wonder if she had a buy out clause in her contract......hopefully for USD they get some money from WVU to help offset losing a good coach.

hopefully both some of the mens and womens teams can use the transfer portal to find some good talent out there to bring into the league. losing players and coaches every year is not a good thing says capt obvious.

            No.

That said, SDSU would still likely have a better fan presence in Saint Louis than any other Summit League team does in Sioux Falls.

I dont know much about any other mid major tournaments, but, do they have great attendance there or what would be the benefit of keeping it there? Has it always been there or has it moved from time to time?

I checked a couple of the games and attendance was 5000-5300 range for games Loyola was in.

The MVC holds their women’s tournament in the Quad Cities - separate from the men’s. Fun.

No to the MVC. That conference is a shell of it's former self.

Actually they just added Belmont and Murray State, so they are looking up.

That being said, I feel like our future is in an all sport league with the ND and Montana schools. Sprinkle in UNC, Weber, etc and call it good. Or a move up to the MWC. The MVC only cares about population bases, hence their interest in KC and Omaha despite their **** programs.

From threads that have popped up on my Twitter feed and on the Yote board, I'm surprised at the number of USD fans that want to hire Chloe Lamb. As head coach. One poster said the administration needs to open up the checkbook and get her hired. I get that USD just had a historic season and Lamb is a very good player, but really ? As a grad assistant yes, but anything beyond that would be a big reach.

Haha! Me, too. (But there's no chance of it happening.)

There’s been rumors floating around recently about the Summit sponsoring football…

Unfortunately declaring doesn't get you there. I think she is pretty much in the same boat as Macy - close to making a roster, but no quite quick enough and good enough as a defender. Lamb can likely make some money playing overseas, but if she wants to coach, the quicker she can get her foot in the door as a grad assistant the better in the long run.
