Kansas City, Mo. - UMKC head coach Matt Brown announced today that Reggie Hamilton has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball and continue his education for the Kangaroos next season. Hamilton is the first recruit to sign with UMKC under Coach Brown.
"Reggie is the type of student-athlete that has helped our teams succeed both at Richmond and West Virginia," said Brown. "His competitiveness and desire to be successful, both on and off the court, will make him an important member to the UMKC basketball family."
The 6-1, 175, combo guard comes to Kansas City from Thornwood High School in South Holland, Ill., where he earned first team all-Sica East Conference honors last season as a senior. In 2006-07, he led the Thunderbirds to a 23-7 overall record after pacing the team with 17.7 points per game, to go along with 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals. . . . (read more)
