Could probably go either way as far as single session attendance record. However, I'd bet the summit league folks are hoping that SDSU and USD play on opposite days during the weekend.
I agree the best set-up is to have SDSU on Saturday, USD on Sunday on opposite sides of the bracket and then meeting in the finals. To make it even better would be UNO and NDSU in the semis against SDSU and USD. That would be the perfect storm for the Summit folks.

I know they are close by, but is Omaha really going to bring more than a couple hundred to this tournament? I've noticed a lot of empty seats in their arena when I've tuned in for a game. Maybe they would show up at the last minute for the finals like NDSU fans do.

I'm happy to not have to worry about getting tickets again for two years. This year should be another good one.

Unless they bus 'em down, Omaha won't have more than 25 fans there...

I would agree. From living in nearby Columbus for nearly 20 years, there are just too many games in town to form a solid following. But commute schools are that way. IPFW and IUPUI are prime examples.

If you bought them on ticketmaster, which I think is the only possible place, you will need to find your account on ticketmaster and print them out from there.

The one side of the upper concourse is just about sold out for all the sessions(men & women). The Sioux Falls Sports Authority haven't opened the other side of the upper concourse yet though. I bet they will open them up on the 27th or the 29th.

Anyone know when the other schools will turn back tickets? I am looking to buy two or three all session passes. Stubhub hasn't really had much and really didn't want to go to the upper deck. I didn't know if I would be able to go to the tournament back in August when passes went on sale.

I was wondering this same thing. Does anyone remember if there has been a late ticket release in past years? I have have hreard of this with other events, such as each school is alloted 500 tickets, when ORU, Denver, etc do not use all those they go onsale to general public close to the event?

1-800-745-3000 is the number to call for information on tickets. Or (605) 367-8460

How long since you've lived in Columbus? I don't think Omaha is in the same boat they were when we were familiar with them in the DII NCC.

Omaha averaged about 2200 for home games this year. They are closer to SDSU (2700) and NDSU (2800) than IPFW (1300) and IUPUI (1000) and in a MUCH larger metro area than Brookings or Fargo.

If they ever make a NCAA tournament they will get local attention, and I feel like they have much more "working man's" potential than private Creighton. Omaha is also very familiar with mid-major basketball and its benefits. I also think the state of Nebraska is beginning to wake up to college basketball - it will never rival football, but people are taking note. IMO, there is room in the market for a successful mid-major. With the ambition of their current administration, I wouldn't sell them short.

I feel like Omaha would be the MVC's first choice to replace Wichita State if it ever leaves.

I left Columbus in 2005 so its been a while. There have been changes and if your figures are correct they have been positive changes, but back in the NCC days UNO really suffered and did not have a good following at all. Creighton in the Big East has done wonders for them. I watch part of one of their games on TV, and they played to a packed house. UNO has miles to go to catch Crieghton.

Creighton has been top 25 in attendance for the last 9 years so it has been a good run even prior to Big East.
