Still need to take care of business to get a top 2 seed. 3 pretty good teams coming into Frost.

We were #1 seed last year and it didn't help. As long as we go no further back than #2 and out play everyone in the SLT I'll be happy.

Before our 4:30 PM game on Feb 21st on ESPN3 against the Yotes , ESPN3 will have the ORU vs IUPUI game starting at 1:00 PM. One of those two will pick up another loss. Feb 28th on ESPN3 W. Ill vs USD starting at 1:30 PM will give one of those teams another loss, and you can preview how well they're playing too. For those that get ESPN3 and have the time to watch.

Yeah that Denver loss is what worries me, I dont think it matters to much to get the 1 seed even though it would be great to win it again, i just worry that Denver loss makes us closer to getting the 3 seed then I like. If there is one game that got a way was that game.

1 big game on the women's side tonight. USD travels to Denver. Hopefully DU can pull off the upset and help the Jacks out.

Obviously, we can't lose another game until we gain a game on W. Ill. Each game lost from here on out affects not only second place, but negatively in the tie breakers. We win out and we'll have an excellent chance the others won't. In fact, we'll have given USD,IUPUI,W. ILL , and UNO all another loss if we win our last 4 games. That would just about garauntee we get 2nd or better. We lose one game ,our chances drop dramatically. One thing to mention also,W. Ill has a 2-0 record with IUPUI, we are 0-1 and play them again, but we are 1-0 against W. Ill though.Too many ifs to adequately predict the outcome yet.

There's still so much to be sorted out among SDSU, WIU and IUPUI. We certainly are in charge of the situation, having already beaten WIU on the road and getting IUPUI on our home court.

IUPUI and WIU both end the season with trips to Brookings and Vermillion. That's their opportunity to make a big pre-tournament statement. More likely, they'll both go into the tournament on two-game losing streaks seeded somewhere in the 3-5 range.

If SDSU wins out and USD stumbles in any of their other three games (@ DEN, WIU and IUPUI) we should get the #1 seed (based on our sweep of ORU). However, this could fall apart if ORU falls in the standings.

NDSU's quick start to the conference season might be just enough to keep them from falling to #8, but I think they are currently the worst team in the league. They've lost six straight and eight of ten - many of them by wide margins. Getting to play them in the first round might be a nice consolation prize if we fail to earn that #1 seed.

Still the same as 2010 when this was stuck to top of the "Summit League" forum.

Head to head, then go through the standings by order til a tie is broken and one team gains the advantage?Something like that anyway.

Yes, seems teams make adjustments the second time around, and are more difficult to beat the second time. But we are at home this time, still like our odds.
