Can't figure out FW, they play the Jacks and Yotes both to tough 1 pt losses, then seemingly get an easier match at home, and lose by 7 to Denver. FW and Omaha fighting to stay out of last place.

We aren't that far from USD that we can't catch them,1 1/2 games behind isn't insurmountable. They lose one more game than us to anyone and lose at Frost and we are tied, subject to tiebreaker for the Summit regular season conference crown.
The race could tighten if they stumble and we finish strong, like we've been known to do. I would gladly trade a conference crown for a SLT crown any day though.

    Away games left:

    USD :

    IUPUI
    NDSU
    DENVER
    SDSU

    SDSU :

    DENVER
    ORU
    OMAHA

SDSU and USD are sitting in the drivers seat as far as road games go with SDSU (4-3) having 9 games with only 3 away and 6 at home, USD(5-1) has 10 games remaining with 4 away and 6 at home.

    The rest :

Games remaining, Home Games, Away Games, Record

    NDSU 9 4 5 5-2
    ORU 10 5 5 3-3
    W. ILL 10 5 5 3-3
    IPFW 10 4 6 1-5
    IUPUI 10 5 5 3-3
    DENVER 10 4 6 3-3

USD loses twice and we win the rest of our games, it'll be the tie breaker scenario. Not impossible, but very difficult for us and very unlikely for them to lose 2-4 road games or any home games. We are sitting pretty good to finish at least 2nd in the conference, especially the way we're playing now.

You know why our running jackrabbit logo is depicted as a "running rabbit" don't you? Not because he's scared, it's because he's alway's running away from the field and running away with the game.

USD still has to come to State and Fargo. NDSU has to come to State. We all end up 2-2 in our round robin?

On the road, we have the IUPUI stumble - NDSU has the Denver stumble - USD has the ORU stumble.

Looks like a real horse race!

Agree, that is the advantage of getting the 1 or 2 seed. Makes my weekend a little easier too. Hoping the men can continue to play well and grab the 1 or 2 as well.

The yotes have only 3 road games left after IUPUI tomorrow. They play at Fargo, Denver, and Brookings. The Jackrabbits go to Tulsa, Denver, and Omaha. It will take some help to lay another loss on the yotes and the Jackrabbits win all the rest of the games. If they would tie for first, then the tiebreaker might still put SDSU in second place for seeding. If NDSU continues to win on the road, they will need to beat teams in Macomb, Brookings, Tulsa, and the Indiana teams. That might be a tall order for them to finish second.

Yes, plenty of home games to come. Considering the 41 and 35 point beatings we pulled off in our only two home games, I'm not too worried about home losses. NDSU will fade. Catching USD would be awesome, but it will make little difference in Sioux Falls. There won't be much difference between the #1 and #2 seeds in the tournament. USD could very well slip too, 1-4 IPFW came within one point of getting it done last night.

Since our first game with Denver, our record has been W,L,W,L.W.L.W....hope we end this pattern emerging with a W our next game at home with ORU. We are 1 of 5 teams with 3 losses right now, we need some separation from this group. I think we'll gain some with the 3 game home stand coming up.

The next 4 games will tell a lot about the Bison women. 2 road games at WIU and SDSU and then a couple home games against the Necks' and Yotes. I think the best outcome that they can hope for is 2-2 but I'm thinking it will be 1-3 or 0-4.
