    Re: Summit All-Conference Teams

I am guessing that IUPUI gives the Mastodons a run on Saturday. I am not saying the Jags take them down, but the Mastodons will need that day of rest. I also like that "They ain't beating SDSU in round two, guy" from RO.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

I have a hard time believing SID's aren't pretty well informed on what's up in the league. Granted, they may not watch every second of every game, but they know what's going on. A reporter like TV does as well.

I had a teacher once who said something similar about voting in your local and national elections. If you choose not to participate, that is your choice. But if you choose not to participate, then don't complain about who is chosen through those elections.

My guess is this reporter did the whole thing just to setup his rant in this one column. Anyone who follows different kind of sporting All-whatever selection processes knows that in certain circumstances these things come a year late. This is tougher to handle in high school and college sports, as some of the athletes/coaches are not there the second time around.

Also if SIDs and media members connected to members schools are uninformed and not worthy of voting in his mind, then who would be a better choice? Someone already said that fans would be a far worse choice. Coaches in a perfect world may be better but we have heard of too many instances in recent years when coaches who supposedly vote for such awards farm out the voting process to an assistant or staffer. Coaching these days is too demanding of a job to ask that coaches spend vital time thoughtfully constructing an all conference ballot.

          Who should vote?
