Re: Denver to Summit?
I laugh, as it seemed that Denver has became the new spring break getaway for many, quite a few of my friends who are still in college were telling me of their plans to go to Denver for spring break.
There basketball team was kinda in the gutter and has gone upwards in the past 5 years. They use to have a fair amount of their games (both men's and women's) on FSN Rocky Mountain (now Root Sports), and they really like their men's basketball coach Joe Scott. Seems like a guy you would want to play for, would show up to Rockies games and be interviewed, be pictured at Nuggets games, etc. Puts his face out there so to say. They won 22 games last year. Its not like they are USD or UNO. (no offense meant to those schools).
As far as the budget, I've read some places, and I've yet to see it confirmed, but I did read a similar thing about Notre Dame, that private schools put their scholarship money as part of their athletic budget, where public schools do not. IDK if that is true, but if it is, it would take a fair amount off the top, as its not cheep to attend Denver.
